Job Description

Duties

  • Develops schedules, wellness articles, and tracks health and wellness metrics.
  • Serves as a Government Purchase Card (GPC) holder for the Civilian Welfare Fund (CWF).
  • Serves as Contracting Officer Representative (COR) for health and wellness contracts, responsible for initiating, reviewing and evaluating all contractor work progress and providing expertise in negotiating technical aspects of all contracts.
  • Determines whether work in progress and on completion meets specifications and is acceptable. Provides input for contractor performance assessments and reports for contracting officers.
  • Monitors progress, measures performance, and takes necessary corrective action to maintain agreed upon schedule and cost.
  • Creates, launches, develops training curriculum, and manages Health and Wellness program(s).

Qualifications

One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade GS-11within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
Specialized experience is defined as experience in coordinating, administrating, reviewing, and assisting with briefings, government purchase card requests, projects, policies, and engagements regarding health wellness, quality of life, morale building activities, or other program activities.
Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
