A Day in the Life of a Patient Care Coordinator

As a Patient Care Coordinator, you oversee all patient care aspects at the office level, ensuring all patient communications are addressed in a timely manner. Your primary duties focus on patient care, where you are responsible for patient experience/satisfaction and patient retention at the office level. You communicate with patients regarding their care through emails, phone, and face-to-face conversations. You read provider progress notes and relay information to patients in easy-to-understand ways, while also educating, promoting the benefits of, and selling products/services to existing and prospective patients.

You use our EMR and CRM software daily to manage patient records and files and complete daily patient follow-ups. Some of your administrative duties include invoicing products and services for patients, submitting prescriptions to pharmacies for patients, creating itemized receipts for insurance reimbursement, and managing clinic inventory. You also occasionally attend marketing events in the community!

You maintain professionalism with all patients, vendors, and colleagues as well as comply with all relevant HIPAA laws. Qualifications For a Patient Care Coordinator

• Excellent patient focus and attention to detail
• Minimum 1 year experience in a health care setting preferred
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations.
• Bachelor's degree required in the field of science (e.g. health sciences, healthcare administration, nutrition/exercise science, etc.) or commensurate level of education and experience. Industry specific knowledge a plus!
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office and experience with EMRs.

Some interest in or knowledge of the anti-aging field would be a plus. Do you have excellent verbal and written communication skills? Do you have experience working with electronic medical records? Work Schedule for a Patient Care Coordinator

This full-time patient care coordinator position works 40 hours per work. The hours are Monday to Wednesday from 10:30 AM - 7 PM and Thursday to Friday from 8:30 AM - 5 PM. Must be able to train in Winter Park, FL.
