Job Description

The VP of Sales leads all Sales activities (including the Merchandising team) with a focus on growing our business. We manufacture and import soft home products in the top of bed category to major retailers such as Walmart, Fingerhut, Amazon, Costco, Kohls, Target, etc. We currently sell over half a dozen well-known designer brands as well as our own home labeled product. Should be a proven leader who can drive strategy, merchandising, and take us to the next level with brands and retailers. This is a hands-on VP role where you will be involved in sales to key customers, developing new markets/brands, while managing Sales and Merchandising functions.


Responsibilities

Grow existing Sales and generate new major business to continue our growth.

  • Hands-on sales to key accounts while opening up new retailers and channels.
  • Implement our Vision & Strategy into actionable goals to increase sales with profitable growth.
  • Manage P&L, implement and execute on KPI’s for profitable growth.
  • Partner with product development relating to new products for key customers.
  • Manage Sales and Merchandising for private label programs.


Requirements:

  • Experience with brick & mortar, Omni channel and e-commerce retailers.
  • Specific operating experience in key account development and new product ideas
  • Active, relevant relationships with major retailers such as Target, Kohl’s, Walmart, TJX, Ross, Burlington, Home Depot, Amazon, Costco, etc.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in “Top of Bed” and related soft home goods included overseas manufacturing of bedding.
  • Track record of Sales, Profitable growth and passion for scaling wholesale business.
  • Documented track-record as a Leader and Team builder
  • Demonstrated success in taking a company “to the next level”, increasing top-line revenue, improving margins while also actively leading teams.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Sales, with at least 5 recent years at the VP level
  • Bachelors Degree required, Masters Degree preferred.
