Job Description
Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is seeking a VP, Global Talent and Culture, reporting to the Chief People Officer, to act as thought leader, strategist, and integrator of global talent and culture work.


This executive will lead a team of around 24 global talent management (GTM) and global talent acquisition professionals, along with the global Chaplain and team. This includes building and executing an integrated talent and culture strategy, leading organizational design and workforce planning, creating people strategies to strengthen succession planning, and supporting implementation of talent management and culture-related objectives. This role collaborates with change management, employee communications, and DEI teams to ensure smooth integration of all people-related plans, programs,and processes. Also collaborates with IT, HR Shared Services, Total Rewards and Global People Team Transformation leader and staff for design and implementation of transformational programs such as new HR information systems and improved processes.


This position may be based in Atlanta (preferred) or another location within 6 hours of the ET zone, where we can legally hire.


Key Responsibilities


  • Oversee relationship between Talent Acquisition and hiring managers in the recruiting process ensuring the creation of a great onboarding strategy to ensure job-readiness programs are developed and managed.
  • Create, support, and drive the talent management and career development strategy and programs in partnership with Senior Leadership and the Senior Director, GTM. Create and maintain an enterprise learning philosophy and strategy that executes integrated Learning and Organizational Development.
  • Partner with Global Chaplain to support Habitat’s Christian intent. Collaborate with the Senior Leadership and multidisciplinary team to positively impact the mission.
  • Partner with global HRBP team to deliver creative, future focused people initiatives, ensuring HFHI has the talent needed.
  • Coach Global Chaplain to work closely with HFHI’s larger faith community to create a network of support to best meet the spiritual needs of employees.
  • Strive to advance employees and implement organizational strategies to promote employee engagement. Partner with leadership to help enhance a positive, engaged culture that works to assimilate the interests, talent, and contributions of all employees.
  • Guide and coach the Global Talent Acquisition Leader in developing the team strategy and roadmap to improve effectiveness of the Talent Acquisition team, ensure operational and service excellence, and the best experience to hiring managers, candidates, and new hires.
  • Partner with Senior Leadership, business leaders and other stakeholders to provide support in the development and execution of succession planning, people strategies, talent, and culture initiatives.
  • Provide Organizational Development leadership and counsel to various locations ensuring effective implementation of HR practices, processes and programs that support organizational effectiveness and employee development.
  • Design new methods to sustain the talent process to develop and share talent within and across teams. Identify emerging capability needs and facilitate the process with recruiting and the leadership team to develop or acquire key capabilities.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and measurement of highly effective, results–driven learning and organizational development strategies that enhance organizational performance.
  • Oversee, develop, and execute talent acquisition and retention strategies and plans, including directing the design and implementation of the organization-wide employment programs for recruitment and retention strategies, candidate identification and selection methods, and DEI strategies and measurements.
  • Lead the GTM team through talent transformation by implementation of succession planning, talent strategies, elevating leadership performance, bringing new capabilities and perspectives through continuous assessment and improvement of talent operations.


Requirements


  • Requires well-developed and highly effective listening, communication, presentation, and persuasive skills, including the ability to receive, process and present both strategic and tactical information to diverse audiences while maintaining effective, collaborative relationships with all stakeholders including members of the Board, outside organizations, vendors, business leaders, management, staff.
  • 15+ years of relevant people and organizational experience, including 10+ years of experience as a people leader. *Experience in a global, matrix organization.
  • Ability to develop and implement relevant strategic objectives to attain organizational objectives.
  • Bachelor’s degree in organizational development/organizational behavior, industrial-organizational psychology or related. Related experience considered in lieu of education.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal skills, and business acumen.
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency, including experience using MS Office and HRIS.
  • Strong planning, influencing/coaching, collaboration and communication skills, proven ability to build relationships and partner across functional lines and at all levels.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; proven ability to communicate effectively and influence all levels of the organization, including senior leadership. High proficiency in English language for regular business use.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practices of organizational effectiveness and development.
  • Experience with strategic business partnership, talent acquisition, talent management, and DEI.

Preferred


  • Experience with federated network and/or INGO.
  • Management consulting.
  • Ability to easily maneuver in direct-reporting and matrix structures.
  • Master’s degree.
  • Experience living and working outside the US
  • Multi-lingual skills (especially Spanish).


The actual salary offered for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including location, internal equity and the candidate’s qualifications and professional experience. HFHI offers a competitive, comprehensive benefits package that varies by country and typically includes vacation leave, sick leave, personal days, health insurance options, retirement plan contributions and life insurance.


For work locations in the US, the target hiring range for this position is $190,000 to $210,000. The entire salary range for this position is between $164,000 to $246,000 per year.
