Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Chief Advancement Officer, with a dotted line to the CEO, this position is responsible to promote the Front Porch brand through integrated communications to internal and external audiences using all appropriate communications channels. This position collaborates with business line leaders throughout the corporation and with community leadership to provide planning, messaging and creative tactics on order to provide timely and relevant responses to issues and needs both within and outside the Front Porch Communities. Additionally, it is charged with developing and overseeing in-house and agency partners resources.
Essential Job Functions of :
1. Develop and implement a strategic integrated corporate communications plan that enhances Front Porch’s visibility, increases mission and brand awareness, ensures message consistency, resonates with internal and external stakeholders in order to communicate the company’s priorities and build trust in the Front Porch brand.
2. Create a public relations strategy that will enable leadership to maintain and boost important relationships with targeted external audiences, including the media and influencers.
3. Serve as a representative and lead spokesperson on media interactions; work to secure good media coverage and a favorable Front Porch public image by formulating and maintaining proactive media relations plans.
- Work collaboratively throughout the organization to identify challenges and communication issues and propose effective short and long-term solutions.
- Train leadership throughout Front Porch on communication skills to recognize internal and external communications opportunities, provide a consistent message as well as solutions and define and execute suitable strategies to support them; thus, elevating the role of communications across the organization.
6. Ensure the Corporate Crisis Management Plan is constantly updated as well as managing the design, development and administration of all communications policies and procedures.
- Prioritize, optimize and oversee development of all corporate communications such as the website, employee newsletters, blog posts, impact reports and online communications on social media platforms.
8. Supervise the recruitment, training, and evaluation of department staff and training and evaluation of agency partners through coaching, counseling and providing feedback.
9. Perform all other related duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
1. The employee is regularly required to walk, sit, talk, hear and use hands in a normal manner. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and peripheral vision. Travel to communities is necessary.
