Video Systems Engineer Jobs

TechStyleOS is currently looking for a Video Systems Engineer to join our Studio Technology team.

How Do You Fit In?

A successful candidate will provide proactive support to our in-house photography/video production teams, including studio, on-location, and post-production environments. You will assist teams from 8 unique brands providing front line support for workstations, workflow discovery, as well as some administration of our enterprise media management platforms.

We build intelligent workflows driven by metadata rich assets and systems. It’s crucial that this role be a an agile self-starter with a first principles mindset, that is always looking for ways in which we can improve on people/process as well as our technology.

The Studio Technology team is a team of creative tools SMEs building and supporting Creative Content Supply chain at TSOS. We are technical experts in many creative technology fields spanning production/post-production workflows, audio tools, and enterprise technologies used during global collaboration creating creative content. That’s right, I said GLOBAL!

Our ideal candidate will possess a background in digital media processing workflows for photo/video production, and post-production with a focus on video, as well as familiarity with live production, professional camera platforms and their corresponding workflows.

The Studio Technology, Video Systems Engineer must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and be able to adapt to change quickly.

This role will support Creative Operations at our LA Offices located in El Segundo, CA. This position will report to the Sr.Director of Studio Technology.

What You Will Do

• Front line Creative Operations support and troubleshooting for Video Systems and automated workflows providing timely and courteous response to issues posted in our Studio Technology MS Teams Channels.
• Contribute to Studio Technology’s Creative Tools wiki pages
• Assist Studio Technology team in managing and maintaining our workstations, storage, servers, and archive systems.
• Available as an on-call resource when needed for our Studio Technology needs.
• Manage escalated issues with vendors to their resolution for our internal stakeholders.
• Work with internal and external teams to UAT and support our custom system to system integrations in our video content supply chain.
• Deploy new hardware / software updates and track versions to maintain parity.

• Experience supporting creative tools like Maxon products Red Giant, C4D, + DaVinci Resolve, Frame io and similar video tools.
• Ability to operate independently, proactively, and take pride in the quality of your work.
• Experience with Levels Beyond / Signiant Reach Engine A+
• Telestream Vantage in an enterprise environment
• Experience with Quantum StorNext / Xsan or similar enterprise level storage appliances
• Experience using OmniGraffle/Visio, Notepad++, Microsoft Office 365.
• Experience with Jamf A+
• Experience with live video production A+
• Solid understanding of SMPTE broadcast and film standards.
• Knowledge of professional camera systems and their respective file-based workflows (Alexa mini, Ursa Mini Pro, A7s etc).
• Expert in Adobe Creative Suite.
• BA Film or BS Computer Science Graduate (equivalent work experience also considered).
• Apple in an enterprise environment
• Familiarity with and. experience using common camera support and grip and electric equipment.
• Experience with Adobe Experience Manager A+
• Experience with Color pipeline + color grading workflows

The annual base salary range for this position is from $75,000-$115,600. The range provided includes the base salary that TechStyleOS expects to pay for the role. Offered base salary will be dependent on factors including the scope and complexity of the role, candidate’s related work experience, subject matter expertise and work location.
