Position at Glidewell Dental


Essential Functions


  • Develops and implements digital signage solutions.
  • Coordinates moves and large-scale system changes and/or rollouts throughout campus building locations. 
  • Operates the master controls of the AV system during events.
  • Designs and studies blueprints, schematics, manuals, wiring diagrams, and other specifications to determine design and installation procedures.
  • Identifies the strengths and weaknesses of multiple systems for the design; plans or modifies designs to minimize waste of materials; designs easy access for future maintenance and design with cost mitigation.
  • Conducts installations and collaborates with construction team if required.
  • Manages AV hardware and software to ensure equipment preparation for projects.
  • Researches and implements best practices to resolve equipment issues.
  • Ensures all computers follow standard naming conventions; move computers to correct active directory (AD) organizational unit (OU).
  • Manages inventory of equipment and supplies. Determines equipment to purchase for projects. Develops cost estimates and establishes budgets for projects.
  • Develops and manages audio and video plans for events.
  • Repairs and replaces equipment as necessary.
  • Designs, engineers, installs, and programs video wall systems.
  • Integrates face recognition with access control systems.
  • Retrieves and repurposes all unutilized assets from production from employee terminations. 
  • Installs and configures computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
  • Participates in the testing of new technology.
  • Connects to computer desktops for remote support utilizing remote software including but not limited to SCCM Remote Control Viewer, RDP and Team Viewer.
  • Configures Security Digital Video Recorders (DVR) and Network Video Recorders (NVR).
  • Assists with quarterly lease refresh by locating, decommissioning, and organizing all assets in the warehouse. 
  • Performs other related duties and projects as business needs require at direction of management
  • Configures Internet Protocol (IP) camera to appropriate Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN).
  • Manages, coordinates, and establishes priorities for audio/visual projects including but not limited to scheduling, end-user coordination, equipment installation or coordination, documentation, and configuration. Provides direction and guidance to project team members and monitors results.
  • Manages AV equipment including storage, transport, assembly, and disassembly.
  • Designs and implements innovative ideas for smart home automation technologies.
  • Troubleshoots and fixes programming issues with existing control systems.
  • Maintains and troubleshoots hardware and software.
  • Provides technical support across the company via in-person, email, chat, or phone.
  • Develops and maintains AV equipment user guides.


Education And Experience


  • Valid California Driver's License
  • Experience in IP CCTV, Access Control, Alarm Tech and Installation, a plus.
  • Four (4) years of experience in alarm or video security installation and AV installation.
  • Must have previous experience supporting enterprise applications.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.


Pay Range: $25 - $32/hr.
