Audio Engineer (On-Site, Project-Based)

We are looking for:

ASG provides technology and media solutions that enable our clients to create dynamic, world-class events and experiences. We’re seeking an Audio Engineer to provide ad-hoc support for our exciting upcoming schedule of events on a project-by-project basis. The responsibilities of this role include setting up technical equipment for events, following client specifications, and meeting project deadlines.

Job Responsibilities:

• Selecting the most suitable technical sound equipment for production.
• Ensure testing of all show playback elements for proper playout.
• Prepare, organize, and track handheld microphones as needed.
• Conduct sound checks prior to every performance.
• Rehearsing with the performers and artistic production team, making adjustments to equipment set-up and cue sheets.
• Use and follow the run-of-show document as a guide for proper show flow.
• Ensure a well-mixed event for both streaming and event space experience.
• Taking direction from a deputy stage manager.
• Discussing the production's sound needs with the director, sound designer, producer, or client.
• Partner with other crew members on the execution of audio elements both prior to and during shows.
• Work with presenters to properly place and track lav microphones.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Ability to work and communicate effectively with a diverse team including talent, producers, and directors
• Proficiency on Audio Mixing consoles, including the A+H dLive C3500 and Yamaha CL3
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Ability to program and operate mixers, microphones, and all ancillary audio gear.
• Good knowledge of audio transport standards such as Dante, MADI, Twinlane

Compensation & Benefits:

The compensation for this role is between $50-175 USD per hour, depending on experience.

This is an on-site position.
