  • Providing technical guidance and direction to faculty, staff, and student workers.
  • Troubleshooting control surfaces including Avid S6, S1, and D-Control ES.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned or requested.
  • Configuring I/O hardware including Avid HD IO, MTRX, and USB audio devices.
  • Upkeep of wireless systems by Sony and Sennheiser.
  • Creating procedures and documentation.
  • Operation of recording systems by Sound Devices, Zaxcom, etc.
  • Researching and procuring needed equipment, tools, parts, and/or materials, and maintaining vendor contacts and technical documentation as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree, or combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education

5 years of experience in post-production audio

Knowledge of and experience supporting mix stages for film and television. Specialized technical knowledge and experience with the installation, maintenance, service, calibration, and proper operation of editing and mixing hardware. Familiarity with Pro Tools. Troubleshooting skills with production audio equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional knowledge in these areas is a plus:

  • Creative mixing experience

  • Ambisonic Audio
  • Dolby Atmos

The hourly rate range for this position is $28.67 - $35.30.
