The Audio Engineer is an exciting opportunity in our Media Department. Responsible for all Amazing Facts International audio systems and needs for various productions (Church, Chapel, Studio & Remote events). Pay Scale: $35-45/hr
REPORTING TO: Media Director
JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: 4-year Bachelor degree or equivalent industry-relevant experience.
• Experience: A minimum of 5-years working knowledge and experience in studio audio production/Live sound production industry.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Excellent communication skills and a team player
• Knowledge and experience with Yamaha CL/TF series consoles, Midas and Allen Heath console would be a plus.
• Must possess the ability to plan, organize, and implement assigned objectives.
• Musically inclined
• Proficiency with computers.
• Long-term planner
• Solid understanding of Dante networking and Nexo DSP Amp Systems.

EXPECTATIONS & TASKS:

• Other duties as assigned
• Generate White Papers and Documentation for system setups (including "normalization" after a program)
• Train audio support personnel to understand and be able to use the provided equipment
• Agreement with the Amazing Facts statement of faith and core values.
• Testing and troubleshooting issues within the sound system
• Assist with Pre-Production projects for upcoming events
• Initial balance and setup for a variety of events (Spoken word, musical, radio call-in, etc.)
• The ability to edit programs with proper understanding of doctrinal issues and how to present them in an evangelistic manner.
• Knowledge and understanding of doctrinal stance on a variety of Christian subjects specific to the SDA Church.
• Would need to be on premise for Friday rehearsals, Sabbath services productions and the Sunday BAL radio program each week, some travel may be required
• Edit video/radio programs content for various shows.
• Run House or Production sound during events
• Post mixing musical programs for AFTV
• Maintenance of audio equipment
• Must establish best practices for miking techniques, live mixing techniques, stage monitoring, audio streaming. multi-track audio recording, equipment handling and storage.
• Establish a chain of communication from stage manager to FOH & Studio board ops for queuing.
• Must be adaptable and able to work in a deadline driven environment.
