Direct and promotes all munitions program management, contract, supply chain and value chain integration activities associated with our operations in order to maximize profitability and economic value added. Interfaces strongly with internal and external customers as well as maintaining contractual schedules, quality and costs of all programs.
Major Position Responsibilities
- Establishes work plan and selects staffing for each phase of program and arranges for recruitment or assignment of program personnel by identifying the most qualified individuals for assignments on specific projects.
- Develops reports and records of activities to ensure progress is being accomplished toward specific program objectives and modifies or changes methodology as required to redirect activities and attain objectives.
- Acts as the focal point in overseeing cradle to grave financial information on the program activities.
- Confers with Program Managers and staff to outline work plans and to assign duties, responsibilities and scope of authority.
- Responsible for employment, training, motivation and discipline of assigned employees.
- Directs, plans and develops methods and procedures for implementing programs. Directs and coordinates complex program activities, provides technical direction, pricing, and program controls over personnel responsible for specific functions or phase of assigned programs.
- Prepares technical proposals, program reports and presentations for management, client or others as assigned.
- Direct all munition program related activities to achieve product sales and profitability, growth, in order to meet operating plans and strategic term business.
- Directs and coordinates activities of program personnel to ensure every program progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
- Leads the review of program proposals or plans to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing program, staffing requirements and allotment of available resources to various phases of program.
Basic Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
- Business area/product knowledge to include technical, cost and manufacturing expertise.
- Ability to manage multiple departments, multiple locations.
Education/Experience:
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) Program Management, Engineering, Business from four-year college or university; or fifth-year college or university program certificate. Master’s degree in Program Management, Engineering, or Business preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum fifteen (15) years of related experience in related areas with at least 8 years of functional or program management and 15 years supervisory experience, and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
