As the Vice President of Facilities, you must possess great leadership skills, a passion for customer service, a creative mind, an eye for details, a high level of professionalism and dependability and always have a positive attitude. While the entire club team plays a role in customer service it is our Facilities Team that ensures every workout experience is “uninterrupted” for our members by providing the best environment, availability of amenities, a high standard of cleanliness and full functioning equipment. We are looking for candidates who are proficient at achieving multiple goals and appropriately prioritizing tasks in a fast-moving industry.
Essential Purpose: The Vice President of Facilities (VPFT) ensures that all EōS Fitness locations deliver the best guest and member experience. This is accomplished in partnership with the Executive, Regional, Area and Club Leadership Teams. The VPFT is responsible for communicating and upholding company standards related to facilities presentation, equipment maintenance, janitorial services, building mechanical/plumbing/operating systems, delivering the EōS Service Experience, assisting with achieving financial results and leading by example when it comes to our Core Values and Purpose.
The Vice President of Facilities provides guidance, training and leadership for the Facilities Team through regular club visits, conference calls and hosted training. VPFT will also engage outside contractors by negotiating bids and assessing the work of outside contractors. The VPFT is responsible for developing and managing the labor and maintenance budgets related to facilities, building/equipment maintenance and janitorial services. This position must be available for in-person, remote work and frequent travel.
This position reports to the Chief Experience Officer and will partner directly with Regional Leadership, District Managers, Club Level Management, and Facility Technicians.
Essential Job Functions:
· Personnel Management and Leadership - Teach, mentor and lead area facilities management remotely.
· Communicate with executive management, regional area management and club operations personnel.
· Outside Vendor management – Identify, evaluate and establish relationships with “key” outside vendors who will service locations (Cleaning, HVAC, Electric, Plumbing, etc.).
· Communicate and coordinate with landlords for all major repairs.
· Ensure Quality Assurance for facilities
· Address concerns on social media platforms as they relate to facilities (IE-yelp reviews, member comments/inquires).
Technical Knowledge Requirements
· Ability to use commercial cleaning products and equipment including vacuums, pressure washers, wet vacuums, compressed air, and cleaning chemicals
· Ability to exercise sound judgment when identifying and assessing club maintenance and housekeeping needs
· Project coordination and scheduling
· Vendor evaluation abilities – (evaluate bids, estimates and invoicing)
· Knowledge of how major mechanical systems work (HVAC, plumbing, electric etc.)
· Ability to evaluate major mechanical systems and assess any potential maintenance issues
· Knowledge of Energy Management systems and procedures
· Basic knowledge of architectural drawings as well as mechanical, electrical and plumbing
· Technology: computer literacy
· Extensive experience with CMMS systems and resource management
· Utilize software, financial software and project management software
· Diligence and a strong understanding of liability issues, general safety, and personal and/or public injury a must
· Ability to use Microsoft Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel) as well as web applications and the internet.
· Financial – Ability interpret budgets and to provide recommendations
· Administration – Understanding the function of the accounting/payroll departments and people management
Qualification Requirements: Individual must possess and apply the following knowledge, skills and abilities, and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, or by using some other combination of abilities:
· Thorough planner with excellent organizational and time management skills
· Exceptional communication skills both oral and written
· Ability to interact professionally with corporate staff/landlords/club management, etc
· Positive managerial attitude and proven leadership ability in above club (regional leadership) role
· An understanding and commitment to all aspects of customer service
· High standards regarding club/site cleanliness and presentation
Experience / Certifications / Educational / Requirements:
· 5-7 years Managing Facility/Housekeeping/Maintenance Experience
· Degree/Licenses/Certifications (preferred but not mandatory)
· Four-year college degree (preferred but not mandatory)
· CFM Certification
· CPO Certification
· OSHA Certified/Trained
· Bilingual - Spanish preferred
· Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification required
Physical Requirements
· Ability to work in club office; move about club floors and rooms; review, revise, create club paperwork; communicate with employees, members, and the public
· Ability to access and operate Company computer system including prepare documents, enter data into computer system, read reports from a computer data base or email system
· Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift more than 50 lbs
· Extensive travel required; including car and air travel
· When necessary must be available to be contacted for emergencies 24 hours/7 days a week including holidays and assist with being a first responder in the case of environmental disaster
· Must be available to assist is the closing down of a club to meet all legal, safety, risk, and environmental regulations
