As the Vice President –Logistics , you will have overall responsibility for the logistics delivery with focus on warehousing of our cold beverage products across multiple sites and functions. You are responsible for leading the develop and execution of strategic plans to deliver performance across KDP’s most transformational logistics initiatives. You will work with the senior leadership team to define a strategic vision for transportation and warehousing inclusive of our owned and 3rd party providers, balancing our growth with responsible cost management. You will also lead and develop a team of field-based transportation and warehouse managers to deliver against our ambitious goals while at the same time creating a culture we are proud of, grounded in our values.

Position Responsibilities
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
  • Ensure the right balance of logistics end to end solutions are utilized across the country, creating a flexible and hybrid network that leverages a combination of owned and 3rd party assets that delivers high service levels at competitive costs.

  • Serves as a supply chain senior leader and source of expertise while working closely with other functions across the organization
  • Lead thru RCI (Rapid Continuous Improvement) methods – implementing and utilizing visual management, A3 processes, and lean manufacturing concepts.
  • Make recommendations on process and / or procedure improvements needed, driving profitable growth within Logistics.
  • Create a safety-first culture by ensuring DOT compliance, on-going QEHS training and by closely partnering with operational leadership within our facilities.
  • Develop engaged, High Performance Teams within our operations.
  • Build a robust talent pool through the active development of direct reports and other leaders in the organization.
  • Foster an environment of cross-functional collaboration grounded in open and transparent communication.
  • Work closely with Finance on Annual Operating Plan (AOP) development, capital planning and administration, as well as ongoing monitoring and measurement of costs and expenses, identifying opportunities to unlock savings and / or growth opportunities.
  • Lead new product launches and supply chain initiatives affecting managed sites.
  • Leverage analytics to identify areas of opportunity to optimize our transportation and warehousing network for cost and service, leveraging data-driven decision-making to deliver meaningful results that align with the overall transportation and warehousing strategy.
  • Provide broad, strategic input into potential acquisitions (due diligence) and helps the organization execute successful integrations consistent with the overall business strategy
  • Coach, train, develop and mentor managers and the broader supply chain network to ensure current and future performance levels are met
  • Analyze mid / long-range forecasts vs. capacities to identify and prevent service outages, inventory overstocks, and inefficiencies.
Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Advanced level skills with best-in-class supply chain technical solutions that integrate planning and logistics processes to service the customer
  • Demonstrated experience building, developing and managing dynamic logistics organizations at scale.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in the logistics industry, with an emphasis on transportation and / or warehousing operations, and strategic end to end processes

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent organizational, communication and influencing skills.
  • Data driven and KPI oriented decision making.
  • Experience in the food & beverage industry and / or deep logistics knowledge in relevant industries
  • AOP and Capital planning experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of TPM / 5S
  • Strong Lean Six Sigma capabilities.
  • Established financial acumen, including multiple P&L ownership.
