Job Description

The Vice President of Demand Generation will be charged with overseeing performance marketing and demand generation across GLG’s central marketing channels.
Reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer and Head of Network Membership, the VP of Demand Generation will help GLG to plan, execute, and measure our demand generation and nurture campaigns on both the client and expert side of GLG’s platform. This person will also oversee strategy for SEO, SEM, re-targeting and other paid media initiatives; website; campaign optimization; social channels; digital analytics; and content marketing.
The ideal candidate is skilled in leading through influence and has a strong ownership ethic. This person is equal parts strategist, operator and analyst - enabling and optimizing our funnel, programs, channels, and campaigns through best-in-class tech tools and by creating, documenting, teaching, and enforcing processes.
In addition to being passionate about marketing execution, the ideal candidate should be a strong people leader who can also collaborate thoughtfully with General Managers in each region and client segment.
Responsibilities
Technology, Processes and Analytics,
  • Evaluate new technologies and add-on applications to improve and optimize marketing team performance.
  • Define and lead execution of a holistic marketing database management strategy that supports data unification and access across our internal systems, ensures data quality, and enforces governance and measurement.
  • Function as the business expert on the marketing tech stack.
  • Manage technical aspects of key marketing systems (marketing automation, CRM) used to generate, distribute, and report on leads; optimize the technology and build the data processes that fuel the marketing team.
Campaign Management
  • Partner with business leaders and marketing program owners to review and adjust the lead assignment logic based on business requirements (from MQL to SQL). Perform root-cause analysis to uncover issues that impact lead assignment and drive resolution.
  • Design and manage processes for measuring the business impact of marketing campaigns and tactics and advise on campaign best practices.
  • Manage vendor relationships relevant to the development, evolution and maintenance of the marketing data ecosystem and marketing technology stack.
  • Manage and coach the marketing automation team responsible for implementing multi-touch campaigns across the customer journey.
Reporting & Analytics
  • Develop tracking and reporting methodology, leveraging Google Analytics and Salesforce to report on performance at the asset and campaign level, and across all touchpoints and channels within our attribution model.
  • Measure program success and ROI and report out to key stakeholders on a monthly basis; recommend improvements based on results.
Content
  • Connect content and digital to ensure content is supporting SEO best practices and leveraging search research to rank for appropriate terms.
  • Oversee the definition, communication and measurement of the value of 1:many content to support the overall digital strategy.
  • Oversee global content strategy, development, and distribution of all 1:many content in the public domain.
Digital
  • Develop and oversee execution of the digital measurement framework and facilitate the integration of the digital measurement framework to all other reporting efforts within the marketing team.
  • Lead the planning, development, and implementation of the overall digital marketing strategy to acquire, engage, and retain customers and NMs though online channels. Including, but not limited to SEO, SEM, Social, Web development, etc.
  • Oversee the paid media strategy across GLG globally, working collaboratively to support BU marketing priorities, as well as always-on brand efforts aligned to critical business goals.
Requirements
  • At least ten (10) years of marketing operations or digital marketing experience in a B2B environment. Ability to identify opportunities to maximize demand creation, pipeline contribution,and sales opportunity acceleration.
  • Executive-level interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to collaborate; effectively working across multiple levels, roles, and functions in the organization.
  • Proven ability to evangelize and teach marketing principles and practices to relevant stakeholders.
  • Experience collaborating with marketing and business leadership as well as managing, mentoring, and recruiting marketing talent.
  • Operation in a global capacity with multi-country technology requirements and solution implementations.
  • Track record of success in working in and influencing a fast-paced global organization.
  • Ability to communicate advanced technical concepts to non-technical audiences,
  • Player/coach mentality
  • A bachelor's degree is required. MBA or related advanced degree would be preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce CRM, Marketo, Wordpress, Google Ads, Google Analytics and other marketing technology platforms and vendors.

The base salary range for this role is $105,900 to $230,000. This role may also be eligible for incentive compensation.
