Job Description

The VP, Corporate Development and Mergers & Acquisitions and will focus on identifying and executing on inorganic opportunities that can support fulfillment of Corporate’s strategic plan. The ideal candidate will be an independent thinker and possess strong analytical skills.

Job Responsibilities & Requirements

Essential Functions:

  • In partnership with the C Suite leadership team, this role will facilitate the development of transaction structures that take into consideration business needs, potential risks, and the needs of Sellers to ensure creative solutions to unique problems
  • Build and maintain financial models to support valuation, planning, and execution of strategic initiatives and/or M&A transactions
  • Develop strong relationships with internal business and cross-functional leaders, investment bankers, sellers, or other external constituents
  • Participate in the creation of commercial and financial business cases for growth opportunities
  • Analyze acquisition or investment opportunities for strategic fit
  • Serve as a key facilitator in the execution of M&A, strategic partnerships, joint ventures, divestitures, or other inorganic opportunities
  • Develop market maps and landscapes to help identify or screen opportunities for the company to succeed in strategic initiatives. These will range from new markets, new/adjacent products, or business models.
  • Serve as the leader for the Executive Team and business leaders on a full range of corporate development activities including, strategy development, financial analysis, business analysis, and M&A execution in a manner consistent with the Company’s corporate strategy
  • Perform industry and financial analysis leading to specific recommendations
  • Participate in all aspects of transaction execution including project management, due diligence, negotiations, and legal agreements


Skills & Abilities:

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree required in finance, economics, accounting, or related field of study (MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred)

  • 10-15 years relevant work experience
  • 7-10 years’ experience working in corporate development, private equity, strategy consulting, investment banking, or transaction advisory
