About this position

The UX team is seeking a UX Researcher to collaborate closely with our design, engineering and product teams and to conduct research with Next customers. We will rely on you to build robust research plans, to identify the research methods you'll employ, and to learn directly from our customers what they need and how our team can improve the Reveal product experience.

Product creation at Next directly depends on how well we can understand our customers and continue to expand and refine our offerings based on their anticipated (and unanticipated) needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Join as the founding member and help build and establish our UX Research practice.
  • Develop and implement modern UX research philosophies and practices. Work with a diverse teams and leaders to deeply connect with our customers, understand and then amplify their needs to our product and leadership teams.
  • Synthesize and present research insights to enhance product development.
  • Partner with UX designers, product managers and the development team, using a blend of design thinking and UX research approaches to iteratively enhance Next products.
  • Conduct qualitative, quantitative, data-driven and experimental research.
  • Advocate UX research at Next. Education and coaching.

Requirements

  • Documented experience conducting quantitative and qualitative user research.
  • A minimum two to three years UX research work experience.
  • Experience in conducting in-depth customer interviews.
  • Experience creating personas, journey maps, writing succinct finding reports, and using research findings to influence design decisions
  • You thrive working as part of a team.
  • The ability to empathize and anticipate user needs.
  • Comfort with the written word and presenting insights. Your research and reporting will be read by and presented to an engaged audience.
  • Proactive and inventive spirit for performing UX research with a constantly evolving SaaS environment.


Bonus points

  • Familiarity with CyberSecurity solutions.
  • Experience in establishing a UX research practice.
  • Proven participation in open source projects or communities.
  • Active involvement with design creation, concepting and sketching.
  • Technical background: UX design, technical writing, quality assurance, data engineering or similar.
