Job Summary

·H&R Block is looking for a Content Designer to reinvent our dotcom digital experience with customer centric content that converts.

·The Customer Design team is the UX nucleus for our client experiences and you’re enthusiastic about your work and user experiences. The mid-level Content Designer will work to improve content flows, increase conversions, and reduce bounce rates for two H&R Block websites. You’re enthusiastic about your work and can balance the need of the business with the needs of the user.

What you’ll do

·Responsible for curating content for https://www.hrblock.com/ and https://www.blockadvisors.com/ with guidance from senior leaders.

·Deliver content design that achieves our business strategy and solves customer problems; ensuring it is clear, respectful, inclusive, and engaging.

·Advocate for the customer through human-centered design methods, ensuring our sites speak their language and meet their needs.

·Comfortable with UX Research to generate ideas and validate creative solutions through human-centered testing.

·Participate in design reviews and critiques, and help all designers strengthen their skills in content design.

·Effectively explain and advocate for your design decisions with an audience of stakeholders.

·Partner with Product Management to ideate on ongoing value of personalized content to the customer.

More about you

·4+ years of experience working as part of a content strategy or UX writing team

·Experience crafting content using design tools such as Figma

·Comfortable creating content for cross-channel experiences

·Experience collaborating with different teams or departments such as marketing, sales, tech/engineering, product management, analytics, customer support and legal/compliance

·Bachelor’s degree in related field or the equivalent through a combination of education and work experience

·An inspiring portfolio of projects that showcases a compelling writing approach, strong editorial skills, and impact

·Enthusiasm for iterative design process, inspired by group critique

·Curious, open-minded, and ego-free. You have a growth mindset

·A passion for simplifying complex problems and understand user’s needs
