Summary:
We are searching or a registered RDMS Ultrasonographer to provide high quality exams in a friendly, fast paced, professional office. We are certified for OB GYN Ultrasound by the AIUM. In this position, You will perform routine and detailed ultrasound examinations for interpretation by the Radiologist using specialized ultrasound equipment mostly GE Voluson E10 ultrasound machines. This role will assist the interpreting physician and obtain, review, and integrate pertinent patient history and supporting clinical data with imaging records to achieve optimal diagnostic results.

Requirements
- Associate's in medical or science-related field of study OR
- RDMS-OB - certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography required
- Completion of a formal 2-year training from an accredited ultrasound program
- Bachelor's degree in diagnostic medical sonography preferred
o Nuchal Translucency Certificate from the Perinatal Quality Foundation preferred
- 2 years of maternal fetal medicine scanning experience preferred
- 2 years of obstetrical scanning experience required
- BLS required
Responsibilities
- Disinfect the probes and equipment between patients and disinfect vaginal probes using Trophon High level Disinfection.
- Verifies and confirms patient identification, reviews clinical information, including relevant personal and family history, exposures and other risk factors
- Verifies and confirms patient identification and patient information including patient precautions and other vital information
- Perform or assists other employees in obtaining appropriate images and assist with performing scheduled equipment maintenance and/or troubleshooting equipment problems.
- Prepares examination report and effectively communicates ultrasound technical findings to the interpreting physician
- Demonstrate the ability to competently perform transabdominal and transvaginal GYN ultrasounds, first trimester screening, transvaginal assessment of cervical length, confirmation of pregnancy, routine and comprehensive ultrasound examinations, biophysical profiles, growth assessment
- Record and process sonographic images and other pertinent observations made during the procedure for presentation to the interpreting physician. Ensures that the documentation is accurate, concise, and complete
- Follows the established chain-of-command with all communication within the clinic and department while portraying team spirit with all co-workers and department personnel
- Performs high quality diagnostic ultrasound imaging exams in accordance with established department guidelines and protocols
- Be familiar with Doppler assessment of the middle cerebral artery peak velocity, umbilical artery, umbilical vein, and ductus venous in cases of twin-twin transfusion and fetal growth restriction
- Attends and participates in department in-services, classes, seminars, workshops, and other continuing education as appropriate to maintain and enhance professional knowledge and/or job skills
