Technical Project Manager (Contract)

ROSE is looking for a Contract Technical Project Manager with a passion for emerging and creative technology to guide our teams in building web and augmented reality experiences. Our ideal candidate is self-motivated and has a solid understanding of the logistical and financial aspects of project management. This person will be running multiple project teams, creating unified timeline and burn reporting and managing internal and external project status communications. Additionally, this person will be working closely with our Web and AR engineers, 3D artists, and quality assurance team to ensure that the our project releases shine. The right person has experience leading teams to successful web or immersive (AR/VR) launches. They should also have the ability to work seamlessly between Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence and Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

As a Contract Technical Project Manager your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Manage and communicate any changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs to all stakeholders.
• Interface with engineering managers and engineers to drive technical solutions, identify deliverables, estimate work efforts, define milestones and manage resources
• Manage team calendar which includes daily internal team status meetings, multiple weekly client status calls, work review meetings (internal and client)
• Develop comprehensive project documentation to be shared with clients as well as internal team members and leadership.
• Manage relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Work flexibly, proactively, and collaboratively with team members across multiple disciplines.
• Ensuring that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
• Ability to take concise notes and determine what information needs to be shared internally/externally to ensure all stakeholders (internal and external) are on the same page
• Management of the financial health of your assigned project.
• Engage and energize the project teams to meet timeline and delivery goals
• Ability to translate client briefs into actionable plans for your team
• Identify and quickly address risks/roadblocks in order to keep projects running smoothly.

Role Requirements

• Ability to be autonomous, open, and transparent
• Experience using JIRA, Confluence, and other related project management as well as common communications tools
• Advanced G-Suite applications experience required
• Must love following processes and have an eye for detail
• Excellent listening and follow up skills
• Experience working in a fast paced Startup,Technology/Engineering focused Environment, or Digital Agency.
• Experience utilizing and understanding of fundamental differences in Agile (Scrum) and traditional Waterfall methodologies.
• A team first attitude
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask, while remaining detail oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with multiple levels of business and technical leadership
• 2+ years of experience, managing development projects in a software engineering environment, inclusive of project planning, team coordination, and successful delivery of project deliverables.
• Experience managing cross-team, cross-functional initiatives
• Seeks out opportunities for self-development and continuing education
• Self motivated with the ability to work independently as well as actively contribute to project teams
• A track record of conflict-resolution and problem-solving skills, particularly in a fast-paced environment
• Solid understanding of product design, software or digital development
• Solution oriented with a positive “can-do” attitude

Compensation will be based on experience. This position if fully remote.
