Role Responsibilities


For our global Climate Strategy team, we are seeking to hire a full-time Technical Program Manager– Climate Risk for our growing climate solutions and collaborations. This position will work in close collaboration with senior team members to engage in activities that support product and model development and commercial success of Moody’s climate risk products with an initial focus on the banking sector. The breadth of this position makes it an excellent opportunity to grow rapidly in the climate-related risk space.


You will play a key role in the development and documentation of project requirements and help drive execution across multiple stakeholder groups. You will be responsible for identifying roadblocks and key stakeholder dependencies, facilitating the discussions between the parties involved, tracking and reporting status and maintaining key technical, model and methodology decisions and issues logs.


Responsibilities


  • Work with product development teams consisting of technology and product management resources to continue to finetune specification and development of climate banking solutions
  • Maintain key decisions and issues log related to technical, model and methodology elements of banking climate risk program
  • Work with technical and subject matter experts to define methodology options and solution frameworks
  • Work with product, strategy, sales and consulting colleagues to identify analytical integration priorities
  • Preparation of client presentations and technical marketing material to support senior team members and sales and client-services teams
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, defining overarching program requirements and success measures
  • Produce ad-hoc analyses, reports, presentations, and provide support on special projects as needed as well as assist in preparation of senior management communications
  • Develop a detailed understanding of banking needs for climate-related physical and transition risk modeling and data, personas and use-cases, collating requirements and features for future model and product development
  • Collaboration across a wide range of Moody’s Analytics teams to ensure the success of product development projects and initiatives in the banking sector.


Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications:


5-7 years of experience in product or program management in financial services/business strategy


Demonstrated problem solver with proven analytical skills


Mastery of Microsoft Office programs, with a focus on Excel and PowerPoint (charting, pivot tables, etc. Advanced functions a plus)


Demonstrated ability to multi task and work to tight deadlines in a fast paced environment, resilient in the face of roadblocks/setbacks while maintaining high attention to detail


Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with the ability to build professional relationships with senior business professionals


Desired Qualifications:


Experience with climate risk analytics in Financial Services settings


Proven track record of collaborating across functionally diverse teams to achieve shared goals and experience of working in a program/large projects delivery/management capacity


Knowledge of the different ways climate data, analytics and research are affecting capital markets globally, and an understanding of the opportunity it presents to a company like Moody's.


Experience with customer base, understanding of lending, risk management and disclosure needs in banking or alternatively insurance and buy-side

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $90,000 to $130,000, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
