The Talent Management Consultant is responsible for defining, developing, and driving Talent Management processes, including executive leadership development, succession planning, performance management, Team Member insights, organization development, and engagement. This person consults with company leadership on a range of issues, including systems effectiveness and change, overall organization capability, leadership effectiveness, and strategic focus from a people and organization management standpoint. They will work closely with HR Business Partners and Learning & Development to ensure alignment within and across HR functions. This person also works with outside experts and third-party consultants to support and deliver key aspects of Talent Management.
Location: Austin, Texas – this is a hybrid role, and we are in office 3 days a week
Responsibilities
In partnership with HRIS, support Workday Talent modules, including:
- Perform routine and ad-hoc analysis on program effectiveness.
- Help design and update actionable dashboards, scorecards, and reports.
- Create and Manage Change Request Forms (CRFs) for all Talent programs in accordance with WFM TMS Program Management Office procedures.
- Facilitate the design, testing and implementation of WD Talent modules.
- Provide guidance and technical assistance to TMs, TLs and business partners as required.
Provide support for Job Dialogue (Performance Management) and other Talent programs.
- Creating reports and developing tools and processes to streamline Talent data.
- Gather data, analyze issues, identify root causes related to Talent gaps.
- Build and manage project plans from conception to implementation.
- Help define, develop, and deliver Team Member surveys and related information gathering / research initiatives.
- Develops positive working relationships with TMS stakeholders (i.e. Business Partners, Learning & Development, Recruiting, process owners) and with third-party Talent Management consultants and advisors.
- Partner with Talent Management Team on the maintenance, development and implementation of Performance Management processes and systems.
- Support development and delivery of clear, concise, and data-driven presentations.
- Helps shape and support tools and processes for various Talent Management areas.
Qualifications and Skills
- General understanding of statistical analysis approaches.
- Reporting and tracking
- Succession and replacement planning
- Possesses detailed knowledge of Talent Management concepts, practices, and processes.
- Advanced working knowledge with tools to transform, analyze, and visualize data such as Excel.
- BA/BS degree and 2-4 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Group facilitation
- Ability to brainstorm and assist in implementation of Talent Management solutions within an assigned area of responsibility.
- Solid knowledge of several specific Talent Management processes, such as:
- Reporting and tracking
- Leadership development
- Succession and replacement planning
- Group facilitation
- Organization capability assessment
- Seeks ways to proactively improve organizational processes and outcomes.
