Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Management Consultant with a specialized focus in State and City level Transportation and Transit Authorities. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in transit authority, workforce development, organizational assessment, and change management. This role requires strategic insight, exceptional leadership, and a strong understanding of the complex challenges and opportunities facing public transit organizations today.


Responsibilities:

  1. Provide strategic consulting and advisory services to state and city level transportation and transit authorities, offering innovative solutions to improve operational efficiency, service delivery, and customer satisfaction.
  2. Lead comprehensive workforce development initiatives, including designing and implementing training programs, conducting needs assessments, and creating workforce planning strategies.
  3. Carry out organizational assessments to identify areas of improvement, develop strategic recommendations, and guide the implementation of changes to enhance operational effectiveness.
  4. Drive change management processes within client organizations, facilitating transitions, and ensuring stakeholder buy-in.
  5. Oversee the development and implementation of high-stakes certification tests for large public transportation organizations.
  6. Advise clients on best practices in testing, evaluation, and performance management within the transportation and transit sector.
  7. Serve as a subject matter expert in the transportation and transit sector, staying abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements.
  8. Prepare and deliver high-impact presentations and reports to clients and stakeholders, demonstrating the value and impact of our services.


Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Transportation, Urban Planning, Engineering, or related field. An advanced degree (MBA, MPA, or related) is preferred.
  2. A minimum of 10 years of management consulting experience, with a specific focus on state and city level transportation and transit authorities.
  3. Previous work experience with a Big-4 management consulting firm
  4. Proven experience in workforce development, organizational assessment, and change management within the transportation and transit industry.
  5. Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, ensuring successful and timely completion.
  6. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and generate actionable insights.
  7. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex information in a clear and compelling manner.
  8. Proficiency in building and maintaining strong relationships with a diverse range of clients, team members, and stakeholders.
