Position Summary
Utilizes principles of systems engineering from the Life Science market to evaluate and develop solutions, clarify requirements, and accomplish system validation activities on assigned projects. Receives technical requests or problem statements and develops unique solutions for the customer. These activities may include but are not limited to specifying products, designing systems, and troubleshooting existing product installations.
Responsibilities
- Prepares system layout, detailed drawings, and schematics including general arrangement drawings,
electrical and P&ID's, by coordinating with engineering design, interpreting customer and functional
requirements, or by using engineering computer-aided design tools and following industry design
standards.
- Develops portions of assigned system interface, maintenance, training, and documentation that may
include functional diagrams, schematics, interface control documents, reports of performance, function,
safety, and reliability requirements analysis, system function, and/or existing technology/manufacturing
capability.
- Assist in writing technical proposals for customers by reviewing and interpreting system requirements.
- Reviews drawings and layouts to ensure clarity, completeness, form, fit, functionality, and conformity to
standards, procedures, and specifications.
- Recommends changes to products and processes by applying continuous improvement principles and
techniques.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing
technical publications, benchmarking best practices, and/or participating in professional associations.
- Commission and test electronic and mechanical equipment during assembly process at factory
- Perform internal and customer witnessed FAT's (Factory Acceptance Testing) of capital equipment,
report deviations and assist to correct issues.
- Perform customer witnessed SAT's (Site Acceptance Testing) and IQOQ's (Installation Qualification
and Operational Qualification), report deviations and assist to correct issues.
- Perform basic equipment operational training.
- Perform preventative electronic and mechanical maintenance.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements (e.g. FDA, 21CFR820), related to assigned area.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through two or more years of related product and/or system design experience.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical studies and reports.
- Bachelor's degree in biomedical, Computer, Mechanical or similar Engineering
- Ability to effectively communicate project status, actions, recommendations and other technical.
- Practical knowledge of engineering principles, higher mathematics, and industry practices associated.
- Ability to respond to most standard inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
- Information with clarity and precision to internal teams and customers.
- Capable of travelling up to 20% of time (domestically).
- With mechanical, electrical, or other related engineering disciplines for assigned systems.
Offering $85k to $113k depending on experience.
Onsite role Monday through Friday.
This job may require some travel 20%.
