Summary

The Buyer/Expeditor will be responsible for purchasing materials, supplies, and equipment necessary for the operation of the company. The role requires the individual to coordinate with vendors, negotiate prices, and ensure timely delivery of goods. The Buyer/Expeditor will also be responsible for expediting orders and ensuring that they are delivered on time to meet production deadlines.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Work with production teams to understand their material requirements and ensure that orders are placed in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Purchase materials, supplies, and equipment necessary for the operation of the company.
• Work closely with the accounting department to ensure timely payment of invoices.
• Expedite orders and ensure that they are delivered on time to meet production deadlines.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock levels.
• Continuously monitor market conditions and supplier performance to identify potential risks and opportunities.
• Negotiate prices with vendors to ensure cost-effective purchases.
• Resolve any issues with vendors, such as late deliveries or quality problems.

Qualifications:

• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build relationships with suppliers.
• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
