Strategic Marketing & Communications Officer - Remote | Wfh

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Strategic Marketing & Communications Officer to join our team at [Company Name Omitted]. As a vital member of our Marketing & Communications department, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our organization's communication, advocacy, and marketing strategies. In this position, you will have the unique opportunity to contribute to our mission of promoting credit unions and enhancing their visibility and positive image.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Lead and oversee the development, planning, and execution of an integrated marketing, communication, and public relations plan that showcases the value of our organization, raises awareness about credit unions, and fosters greater participation in our initiatives.
Multi-Channel Communication: Manage all communication channels, including publications, web, digital platforms, and social media, to effectively market our organization, affiliates, programs, products, and services.
Media Relations: Serve as the primary spokesperson for our organization, engaging with the media and opinion leaders, and arranging media coverage for special events that highlight the work of credit unions.
Creative Direction: Provide creative direction for marketing and communication efforts, including the development and implementation of a comprehensive marketing plan.
Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing and communication strategies.
Public Awareness: Develop initiatives to raise awareness of the benefits of credit union membership among members and the general public, enhancing the visibility and positive image of our organization and credit unions.
Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues across the organization to define target markets and design campaigns for various programs, products, and services.
Resource Allocation: Allocate resources to specific priorities and projects, ensuring alignment with short-term and long-term goals.
Content Development: Assist in crafting speeches, articles, reports, and other written materials, including support for the President & CEO.
Public Advocacy: Foster a favorable image of credit unions through public advocacy efforts and test programs aimed at promoting credit union membership benefits.
Team Management: Conduct performance appraisals, offer coaching and counseling to department staff as needed, and assist in strategic alignment of the annual department budget and business plan.
Additional Responsibilities: Undertake any other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
