Position Summary
We are seeking a Communications Specialist to support our Fund Development and Communications Department and Coalition. In this role, you will strategically implement digital and print projects to raise awareness of our organization and its mission through impactful storytelling. Your responsibilities will include producing and editing print and digital media, maintaining brand guidelines, updating content on our website properties, managing our social media presence, and evaluating results. The ideal candidate will possess excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills, a profound understanding of digital and traditional media platforms, and a passion for making a positive social impact.
This is a full-time, non-exempt position with the option for fully remote or hybrid work arrangements.

None.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Assist in executing our annual communications plan across internal and external channels.
Implement our digital media strategy, leveraging analytics and social listening to inform future strategies and drive engagement.
Generate high-quality written and visual content, including blog posts, social media content, emails, newsletters, appeals, infographics, and videos that effectively convey our key messages and impact.
Produce analytics reports for social media, email, and digital ad campaigns.
Contribute to the development of print and digital publications, including proofreading and copy editing, and manage relationships with print and production vendors.
Maintain content updates on our website properties.
Ensure consistent communication of our brand across all internal and external channels.
Participate in staff meetings, delegation meetings, and training sessions as required.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Communications, Marketing, or Design.
Minimum of two years of content creation experience for print and digital media.
Proven ability to work independently, think beyond instructions, and solve problems.
Effective time management and multitasking skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and compellingly.
Proficiency in graphic design; video and audio editing experience is a plus.
Familiarity with social media and web content creation, analytics, and SEO practices.
Experience with email marketing platforms and strategies.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, and Microsoft 365; basic HTML, CSS, and XML knowledge is a plus.
Experience with social media scheduling software and media listening platforms is a plus.
