Job Description

Summary
Cotton Holdings is actively looking for a Roofing Estimator for one of its subsidiaries, Stellar Commercial Roofing. The Estimator is responsible for estimating commercial roofing projects by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents. In addition, they will estimate labor, material, and time requirements to compute the overall cost of the project.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Assist sales team in determining accurate scope of work for estimate
  • In a timely manner, obtain for every project a favorable and agreed upon Insurance Estimate, while maximizing company margins. This may include Supplements.
  • Perform to KPI’s established on a monthly basis
  • Work within the CRM system and MS Teams to ensure project information is stored in detail and in real time, for records and communication purposes.
  • Review project files and write corresponding estimates in Xactimate
  • Work with sales and production teams to move projects forward in the Customer Life Cycle,
  • Meet with insurance adjusters on location to discuss projects, damage, repair standards and estimates (As needed)
  • Discuss these estimates with insurance representatives

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Qualifications
  • Xactimate expert proficiency preferred
  • Self-motivated
  • Good communicator, able to effectively discuss projects with insurance adjusters, consultants, and engineers
  • Work within the CRM system to ensure project information is stored in detail and in real time, for records and communication purposes.
  • Thorough understanding of Commercial Insurance Loss with a solid track record successfully navigating the insurance loss process
  • Willing to travel, when needed, to meet with insurance representatives
  • Highly Organized and detail oriented
  • Home office will be Houston
  • Experience as a Building Consultant or Public Adjuster would be a plus
  • 5 + years of experience
  • Expert in commercial roof systems (Metal, Single Ply, BUR, Shingle)
  • Works well under pressure
