Job Description

ROOFING ESTIMATOR



JOB SUMMARY

The Roofing Estimator will act as an in-house subject matter expert on coating applications within commercial roofing, inspecting roofs, providing materials estimates, assisting with market research, and signing off on completed work. This role will report to the Chief Commercial Officer.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Answer technical application questions on the product for in-house sales team and partner program.
  • Conduct on-sight inspections of end client roofs in collaboration with our partners to determine if the roof is a good candidate for a bid.
  • Build material estimates and answer technical questions for proposal development in collaboration with in-house sales directors.


FACILITY/GROUP-SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Inspect sights during and post application for proper partner application of the product to sign off for end client.
  • Act as commercial roofing SME for ongoing market research and R&D within the roofing portfolio.
  • Assist the CCO in developing additional technical documents and sales collateral for use by in-house sales team and partner program.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Knowledge of commercial roofing substrate types and challenges associated with each
  • Experience working with roof coatings.
  • Coatings systems.
  • Strong social, interpersonal, and people management skills.
  • Knowledge of roof remediation market, including different types of products used in
  • 6+ years of experience working as a roofing contractor, ideally with experience in both applicator and project management roles.
  • As they age.
  • Ability to self-diagnose problems quickly and effectively, and foresee potential issues.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

  • Strong familiarity with applying coatings to commercial roofing substrates

BENEFITS & TARGETS

  • 2% commission on all jobs closed by in-house sales team with which project manager assisted in the bid
  • $85K base salary
  • Benefits package available upon completion of Series A funding round
