Sra/As, Molecular Biology

Proclinical is seeking a SRA/AS, Molecular Biology for a leading biotech company located in San Diego, CA.
In this role, you will be part of our rapidly growing, diverse team of experts working on in vitro assays and in vivo measurements of drug activity. Some primary responsibilities in this role include working closely with your teammates to validate compounds and test novel technologies developed by our company.
Must be eligible to work in the US.
Job Responsibilities

• Exploration and optimization of in vitro assays to assess impact and efficacy of siRNA/antisense oligonucleotides on RNA transcripts, protein expression, and other project-specific assays
• Understanding and carrying out protocols for protein chemistry and target validation, such as SDS-PAGE, ELISA, Western blot, etc.
• Performing experiments and providing support for basic day-to-day tasks
• Tracking and compiling of experimental workflows and results
• Familiarity with mammalian cell culture
• Presenting results and communicating findings to team and management when required
• Implement molecular and cell-based assays including RNA & protein isolation, RNA transfection, gene expression analysis (RT-qPCR & RNASeq), Western blot, and fluorescence immunocytochemistry

Skills And Requirements

• Ability to adapt to change and thrive in a dynamic and entrepreneurial early-stage environment.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree; relevant life sciences discipline preferred.
• Biotechnology industry experience is strongly preferred
• 2+ years laboratory experience
• Familiarity with siRNA, ASOs, and gene silencing
