As a Sr Staff Product Designer on our Buyer Experiences team, you will help craft the future of this critical and foundational eCommerce touchpoint, working side-by-side with leaders from other fields to support our cross-functional teams, coach and mentor Product Design talent and improve execution, operational maturity and team health. We will depend on you to build meaningful, collaborative relationships with our product and engineering partners, with a focus on craft of execution, creating innovative and intuitive solutions for our customers and tackling eBay’s more grueling challenges with resolve and trust in our abilities and our teams.

Responsibilities:

• Work within a single product vertical, partnering with Design leadership to ensure a cohesive broad view across the product portfolio
• Contributes to departmental planning and budgeting, helps shape and implement team priorities, and supports project deadlines
• Inspires and coaches cross-functional product teams to identify and validate user problems, produce inventive and thoughtful solutions for users that also work for the business, and ship to market meaningful product updates that deliver tangible results
• Develops effective design approaches for surfacing user needs, exploring potential solutions, delivering practical design deliverables and synthesizing design work into systems of reusable components
• Drives creative development and execution of product design work across the Collectibles team

Requirements:

• Ability to synthesize industry trends, internal and third-party research, team insights, business priorities and partner feedback into actionable UX strategy and design execution
• Experience driving product design for end-to-end programs and a strong understanding of user-centered design processes in agile, cross-functional teams
• Outstanding portfolio demonstrating a broad range of design and product strategy across web-based applications, consumer experiences and mobile products
• Proactive collaborator and communicator with a track record of anchoring teams and building strong, cross-functional partnerships
• 10+ years of professional experience in Product Design with a focus on creative and strategic influence
• Ability to create compelling narratives while articulating opportunities/problems/solutions within this domain

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York City is expected in the range below.

$168,400 - $262,900

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
