Job Title:

Sr. Specialist, Accounting

General accounting with focus on monthly close process, review of income statement and balance sheet reconciliations and support for annual audit activities.

• Prepares monthly and quarterly fluctuation analyses for owned legal entities in order to analyze and explain material fluctuations
• Reviews general ledger accounts, identifies issues and makes recommendations
• Prepares benefit and tax schedules in order to present to Corporate Controller on a monthly basis and analyze actual versus accrued variances
• Reviews and/or prepares monthly journal entries with the support of the general ledger shared service team to ensure an effective and timely monthly close process
• Analyzes income statement accounts and reviews balance sheet account reconciliations prepared by the general ledger shared service team monthly for US-domiciled legal entities

• Supports compliance during interim review and annual financial audits
• Ensures adherence and compliance with company's SOX internal controls

• Collaborates with finance partners to develop division budget and records in financial system
• Works with Manager, peers and staff in the development of a customer-centered work group

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet timelines on deliverables
• 2-4 years experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail
• Self-starter, sense of urgency, and works well under pressure
• Bachelor's Degree in related field from a four-year college or university
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
