SENIOR SCIENTIST, SYSTEMS BIOLOGY
We are currently seeking a qualified, highly motivated individual for the position of Senior Scientist in our Functional Genomics group. A successful candidate will assimilate vast public and in-house biological datasets and leverage innovative computational research strategies to generate insights on biology of disease and mechanisms of drug action. You will play an integral role in research and in the development of breakthrough therapies that can transform patients’ lives.
Responsibilities

• Design and develop pipelines to address novel analytical challenges and to automate established analysis in a cloud computing environment
• Analyze single cell and bulk 'omics data from preclinical models to inform target discovery, novel combinations, disease subtypes and drug mode of action
• Develop computational methods for integrative analysis of multi-omic datasets
• Organize and document analysis strategies
• Apply machine learning and statistical analysis to predict drug action
• Work in cross-disciplinary teams and communicate findings to broad audience of biologists, chemists and statisticians
• Additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• Strong track record of innovative research demonstrated in publications and oral presentations
• M.S./ Ph.D. in computational biology, bioinformatics, genomics, systems biology, statistical genetics, data science, or a closely related field
• An ability to be productive and successful in an intense work environment
• Proficiency with Linux, git and with scripting languages such as Python or R and analytical environments
• Demonstrated expertise with NGS analysis, standard bioinformatics tools, statistical tools, and public datasets
• Strong understanding and experience of methods used in predictive modeling and causal inference including: linear and non-linear regression, network construction and analysis, and machine learning
• Strong oral and written communication skills
