Sr. Project Accountant Jobs

Well known High Education / University client here in Boston MA has a need for a strong Sr. Project Accountant/Manager. This is a contract role to start that could go temp to perm for the right candidate. This role is 100% REMOTE and work with the C Level executives. Excellent Quality of Life.
Responsibilities

• Demonstrated ability to develop & maintain effective working relationships with individuals and organizations reflecting a broad range of identities, perspectives and experiences.
• Coordinate a portfolio of complex projects and develop and maintain project plans, provide analysis and consultative leadership, and prepare reports and presentations at project and executive levels.
• Strong functional knowledge of finance business processes and requirements including major areas of accounting (GL/AP/AR), fixed assets, consolidation, period close processes and financial reporting, Budgeting & Forecasting, purchasing and contract management
• Represent the VP in a wide variety of committees, acting the primary liaison to Finance and Budget Committee, Audit and Risk Committee, in addition to the Campus Planning Committee.
• Demonstrated business process design, project management and problem-solving skills
• Interactions with these partners include: planning and material preparation for Investment Committee meetings throughout the year, completing investment subscription and redemption documents, managing capital call wires, obtaining and disbursing tax and financial statements and investor letters, responding to ERISA requirements, maintaining authorized signatories, monitoring cash flows, liaising with NACUBO, and maintaining the Investment Committee policies, charter and annual goals.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly and effectively
• Manage the Investment Office under the leadership of the Chief Investment Officer, servicing both the Endowment and the Defined Benefit Pension Plan, serving as the primary liaison with Investment Committee, a significant number of Investment Managers.
• Manages complex projects, overseeing activities of technical project activities and developing project roadmaps, monitoring progress, compliance with terms and conditions, and assessing resource needs.
• Responsible for the communication plan for all initiatives to ensure successful project implementations.
• Comfortable with carrying out and communicating both detailed analysis and research, as well as “big picture” considerations and priorities
• Experience with communicating and working directly with executives

Qualifications

• 7+ years of finance business process management experience
• Project Accountant skills along with Higher Education or Non-Profit helpful
• Bachelor's’ degree required, MBA a plus
• Experience managing a variety of complex finance and business-related projects

Compensation: Hourly rate is $60-$70 per hour
