Job Description

You’ll play a key role in the growth and long-term success by applying program & project management skills to multiple pods and initiatives. The SPM is responsible for building and maintaining a robust Agile SDLC methodology for our Product, Design, & Engineering teams to adhere to. This role will be responsible for partnering and building relationships with teams across the organization.


You’ll work closely with UX/Design and Engineering teams as well as partners with adjacent teams across the organization to deliver experiences and products that shape the future of our organization. The SPM is an integral part of a highly cross-functional team working with world class medical professionals, designers, and engineers to help innovate and address challenging problems within the healthcare space.

The SPM has a passion for consumer products and brings a technical acumen and project management rigor to the broader team. Intimately familiar with lean Agile project delivery with experience managing multiple products and pods simultaneously. Works closely with teams to deliver products to market and improve our existing digital footprint.

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies


  • Articulate, clear and confident communication and presentation skills.
  • Provide thorough status updates/reports on your team’s sprint and/or project accomplishments in real-time to digital leadership team and other key stakeholders.
  • Protect the team from external interruptions by filtering all requests and pushing back on non-priority items.
  • CSM certification a plus
  • Work closely with Product Owner to manage team priorities and scope each sprint, as well as coordinate and manage cross-team dependencies to keep the project on track.
  • Expert knowledge of and demonstrated experience in Scrum and Agile development.
  • Escalate risks, roadblocks or issues in a timely fashion.
  • Coach and provide feedback to individual team members and stakeholders on Agile best practices and areas of opportunity.
  • Coach and guide a team toward stable velocity, successfully meeting sprint commitments and project target dates.
  • Demonstrated experience with quarterly planning against OKRs set by leadership team.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors and partners to drive cross-business unit project dependencies.
  • High proficiency in Atlassian suite (Confluence, JIRA)
  • Ensure Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-up, Refinement, sprint planning, sprint retrospective, and scrum-of-scrums are followed by the teams and step in as required to facilitate.
  • Extensive experience in technology project management utilizing traditional and hybrid delivery approaches, tools, phases, and cycles.
  • Assist in Cost Benefit Analysis preparation, resource planning, sequencing, initiative planning and delivery.
  • Coach and support Product Managers/Product Owners in maintaining a healthy product backlog for the team.
  • Foster a healthy team dynamic, utilizing metrics to identify opportunities and drive action.
  • Active PMP, PMI-ACP certification a plus
  • Present team/project status, metrics, risks or concerns to stakeholders at all levels of the organization with confidence and clarity, verbally and in writing.
  • Apply best-fit methodology for project execution (i.e. scrum, hybrid, etc.)
  • Manage & communicate project resource needs, risks, issues, and upstream/downstream dependencies to ensure value-based delivery & results.
  • Identify and remove roadblocks from the team’s path to ensure productivity.
  • Ability to interact professionally and confidently with colleagues at all levels, including senior and executive management.
  • Build and develop strong relationships and communication paths with senior leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Support and apply the discipline of Project and Program Management and related best practices throughout the life of the projects and programs we deliver.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, technical projects.


Education and Experience

  • Ability to collaborate with software engineering teams to reduce technical debt, introduce new technologies, and migrate to new architectures required. Excellent meeting facilitation, written, verbal, and presentation skills required.
  • Experience planning, managing, and leading complex technology projects in a high-paced, fast-changing work environment, leading the team through issue resolution during the entire development lifecycle required. Experience planning and leading software release cycles including prioritizing features, coordinating schedules across platforms, coordinating user testing, and communication with stakeholders on roadmaps, delivery status, and change management details required.
  • Ten (10) plus years of technical project/program management experience within a technology or digital organization.
  • Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent experience required.
