NBCUniversal’s Operations & Technology (O&T) group is the shared services organization that provides the company with a broad portfolio of services and capabilities including media and studio operations, international operations, real estate, infrastructure, security and technology. The O&T group provides global support to NBCUniversal with a 2000+ strong workforce and is a critical to the growth and success of the company.


NBCUniversal’s Data & Legal Solutions team operates as a central technical operations group embedded across Ad Sales, Distribution, Marketing, Research, Technology, Legal, and HR as trusted partners working together to implement strategic data driven programs throughout the enterprise in order to effectively close gaps between central business and technology groups across a variety of projects.  We work to provide relevant insights & structure across our diverse portfolio to power intelligent business decisions required in order to compete within today’s highly complex multi-platform & fragmented media landscape.


Purpose


The primary responsibility of the Sr Program Manager, Tech Strategy is to act as the strategic data driven program manager for key cross company consumer facing or internal initiatives across the NBCUniversal brands and businesses, particularly in the Ad Sales Technology area.


Your mission is to partner with key business, product development & engineering teams supporting the ongoing innovation & delivery of our content supply chain. You will have the ability to interact with a diverse set of technical and non-technical partners, including senior management.  


The ideal candidate for this position has exemplary planning and time management skills and can manage 3-5+ active enterprise programs across varying stakeholder groups. We are looking for program professionals excited about delivering central solutions of high strategic value and high economic value, that enrich internal and external user bases in the consumer data space, including but not limited to data privacy & data governance. The individual will bring a passionate and focused approach to consensus driven problem solving and collective collaboration.


Program Planning And Strategy


  • Identify key milestones, deliverables, and resource requirements to meet project objectives.
  • Establish performance metrics and KPIs to measure program success.
  • Develop program plans, objectives, and strategies that align with the organization's vision and goals.


Program Execution And Management


  • Lead cross-functional teams, providing guidance, support, and motivation to achieve project milestones.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and proactively implement corrective actions.
  • Oversee the execution of multiple projects within the program, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.


Stakeholder Management


  • Effectively manage stakeholder expectations and handle conflicts or challenges that arise during the program lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, executives, and team members to ensure clear communication and alignment on project objectives.


Risk Management


  • Develop risk mitigation plans and contingency strategies to minimize disruptions.
  • Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project success.


Resource Management


  • Optimize resource allocation across projects to ensure efficient use of manpower, technology, and budget.
  • Work with resource managers to address any resource constraints and ensure adequate support for projects.


Quality Assurance


  • Maintain high-quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct regular project reviews and quality checks to ensure deliverables meet established criteria.


Reporting And Documentation


  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and other relevant records.
  • Prepare and present program status reports to senior management and stakeholders.


Process Improvement


  • Continuously assess program management processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Implement best practices and industry standards to enhance program effectiveness.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Project Management) preferred. A master's degree is a plus, but not required.
  • Proven experience as a Program Manager or in a similar role, managing complex projects from initiation to completion.
  • Ability to build business relationships and influence executive stakeholders through verbal and written communication.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • 5+ years of program management experience, managing a cross-function team designing, developing, and deploying programs, or related field.
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and other project tracking tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of program management methodologies and best practices.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing requirements.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
