Job Summary

A global leading automotive manufacturer is looking for a Sr. Product Engineer to join their team near Lockport, New York. This is a top 3 global company in their industry with more than 70,000 employees and over $12.5B in revenue. This Engineer's main focus will be product research and development from cradle to grave for hybrid/fully electrified powertrain components.

The salary is commensurate with experience up to $120K plus an annual bonus, relocation, and excellent health/retirement benefits. All applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Work with suppliers and manufacturing plants to insure product design for high value and manufacturability
• Developing and authoring engineering specifications for components and assemblies to be used in manufacturing facilities to mass-produce compressor components and assemblies
• Assist with preparation and execution of test units
• Participate in innovation, product cost and quality improvement initiatives
• Designing and developing AC compressor components working with design personnel.
• Analyze test data and organize results relative to internal or customer specifications with observations and conclusions
• Blueprint reading and interpretation & specification of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Utilize DFMEA/PFMEA processes to provide a robust design prior to mass production
