Job Description
Stoa USA Inc. is a Phoenix, Arizona-based property technology company dedicated to closing the housing gap in America. Its software platform, Stoa USA Inc., enables real estate investors to purchase, renovate, and sell homes faster and more efficiently. Reporting to the Head of Capital Markets, the Sr. Portfolio Manager is responsible for sourcing, developing acquisition, renovation and asset management strategies and managing relationships with Stoa Direct Partners (REITs and institutions investing and/or looking to invest in single-family rental properties). The Sr. Portfolio Manager is responsible for managing a book of business and is the point of contact-of-contact for Stoa Direct Partners. This role requires a collaborative mindset, a high-level work ethic, and a team player mentality. This role also requires acute attention to detail and a keen ability to juggle and manage multiple tasks and projects.


Position Requirements (Essential Functions - the reason the job exists)


  • Track monthly, quarterly and annual portfolio performance of investments of assigned Stoa Direct Partners and prepare reporting to senior leadership
  • Identify any inefficiencies and optimize technology including working with Product and Engineering to increase productivity and meet requirements of Stoa Direct Partners
  • Executes the strategic vision for Stoa Direct
  • Coordinate with cross functional business units such as Sales, Finance, Pricing, Legal and Asset Management to create/revise policies, workflows and SOPs and OKRs to systemize and operationalize Stoa Direct Partner requirements
  • Lead, hire, develop and grow a team of best-in-class talent
  • Track residential market conditions impacting investment strategy for Stoa Direct Partners
  • Identifies new Stoa Direct Partners investing in single-family rental properties and build strategic relationships with REITs and institutions
  • Own the customer journey for Stoa Direct Partners from acquisition through asset management of single-family rental properties


Additional Position Requirements


  • Experience managing a team
  • Experience acquiring and selling single-family rental properties (scattered lots and bulk transactions) from institutions, real estate brokers and wholesalers
  • Ability to work collaboratively cross-functionally
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills


Required Qualifications


  • Experience:4-7 Years of Experience
  • Education: BA /BS in Finance, Real Estate, or related area of studyExperience interfacing with an institutional investor base
  • Additional Skills / License / Cert. Excel, SalesForce, Atlas or Asana or similar project management software, Tableau


Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience:4-7 Years of Experience
  • Education: Masters


Physical Environment And Requirements


  • Lifting: Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds in an office environment.
  • Alternate Sitting/Standing at Will: The ability to alternate between sitting and standing is present. Worker has the flexibility to choose between sitting or standing as needed in addition to scheduled breaks and/or lunch period.
  • Keyboarding: Entering text or data into a computer or other machine by means of a traditional keyboard.
  • Speaking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word to impart oral information to clients or the public and to convey detailed spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
  • Near Visual Acuity: Clarity of vision at approximately 20 inches or less (i.e., working with small objects or reading small print), including use of computers.
  • Environment: Remote work available or normal office environment with sit/stand desks and ergonomic chairs available in-office.
