TE Connectivity's Marketing Communications teams design, execute and report on internal and external communications and PR activities, engaging with customers, outside agencies, and industry organizations. They define the messages and oversee the implementation of initiatives that engage key audiences using a variety of approaches, including internal communications, media, public relations, and social media, developing ideas and stories to execute internal and external communications. They leverage a trend or storyline emerging from multiple inputs, e.g., team meetings, reports, social and traditional media, politics, and current events, to elevate TE’s brand in the market and partner with marketing colleagues to ensure campaigns, lead generation, and market-facing communications complement one another to drive marketing results and manages the relationship with TE’s public relations agency of record and assigned budget. The Communications team collaborates closely with various stakeholders from the executive leadership team and Human Resources to a variety of product, sales, and internal marketing partners.

The Senior Manager, Communications is responsible for supporting internal and external communications for the growing Industrial Solutions (IS) global segment. The individual will be responsible for defining the communications strategy, including employee engagement, executive communications, crisis management, messaging, and content development for the segment’s communications channels. The key focus of this position will be to work closely with the segment president, senior executives, functional leaders and business unit communicators to build engagement and a culture of empowerment and innovation amongst our segment’s 23,000 employees, and to protect and promote TE’s reputation with external stakeholders.
The ideal candidate must be an expert at communicating in written, oral and digital forms, self-directed and able to execute a high volume of projects that support a variety of global stakeholders. They must excel at message development, storytelling and writing with a style that captures the author’s voice and intent, and the audience’s attention. They will also be responsible for collaborating with business unit communicators to shape cohesive messaging themes that bind and amplify our collective efforts.
To be successful in this role, the Senior Manager, Communications will need to build successful relationships based on confidence and trust with various key collaborators including the executive leadership team, HR partners, and functional leaders across the Industrial Solutions segment. This position will report to the Chief Marketing Officer for the Industrial Solutions segment.

Responsibilities:
- Build and execute a comprehensive and integrated internal communications plan for the segment, in coordination with the businesses, to drive greater employee engagement and culture commitment.
- Own the creation and delivery of quarterly communications of IS business results, including State of TE updates, town hall presentations, show flows and scripts, Extended Leadership Team webcasts and leadership messages.
- Work closely with the Corporate communications leaders on crisis that impact or pose a risk to our businesses, serving as primary Segment liaison to help manage proactive and reactive communications. Provide counsel and positioning guidance to communicators in the business units that are part of the Segment.
- Manage ongoing executive communications for the Segment President with a consistent and planned cadence, ensuring employees are informed, motivated and inspired. Includes managing social media accounts and employee roundtable discussions.
- Serve as a trusted advisor for senior IS functional executives through the development of messaging, writing, and other support activities in preparation for internal and external speaking engagements, including investor events, trade show keynotes, etc.
- Oversee management of IS intranet properties, and other communications platforms, while continuously looking for innovative delivery methods to improve effectiveness.
- Partner with TE’s Corporate internal and external communications leaders to support our involvement in enterprise-wide programs and initiatives, such as global leadership events, the company’s internet/intranet sites, thought-leadership content, corporate branding campaigns, digital and social media activity, etc.
- Track and report on communications performance metrics to measure internal communications engagement and effectiveness.
- Serve as a “journalist” and “chief storyteller”, cultivating sources across geographies, functions and businesses to drive the creation of inspiring and compelling content in the form of employee and customer stories that bring to life how we create value.
- Lead comprehensive communications programming for Segment-level culture-shaping and change management programs, such as Accelerate, our employee idea and innovation initiative designed to empower risk-taking.
What your background should look like:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in communications, English, journalism, marketing or public relations required.
- Experience counseling and advising C-suite and executive management.
- Previous global communications experience is required.
- Experience in B2B and Industrial markets as part of a multinational business is preferred.
- Experience building ad hoc communities and coalitions to achieve business results
- Fluency in English is required.
- Proven skill in using digital/social media to connect with stakeholders through compelling messages and stories
- Knowledgeable on current communications trends and practices
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal with the ability to understand and distill technical information, be concise, and capture interest.
- Strong business acumen; understands how businesses make money and can translate in relatable and actionable terms.
- At least 8 years of communication experience including a demonstrated ability to produce effective communication strategies.

- Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $134,500 – $201,700 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
