Role/ Department: Project Manager, process improvement Sr Consultant/Audit Services


This role is responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of the Audit Services strategy, and will assist with project and/or management of initiatives. The successful individual will provide the Chief Administrative Officer and the General Auditor with broad thought leadership in relation to the Audit Services strategy and the Audit Services Initiative Program and have meaningful interactions and working relationships with the business, operational and finance teams globally. This key role will report directly to the Assistant Director of the Chief Administrative Office in Chicago


The Key Responsibilities Of The Role Include


Leadership and Management


  • Assist with management, driving, and prioritization of the Audit Services Initiatives Program;
  • Establish strong working relationships and open communications with key stakeholders throughout the organization;
  • Drive and support change in the Audit Services team;
  • Provide input to the Chief Administrative Officer on the planning, organization, direction and control of the Audit Services Management function;
  • Prepare and present project financials and other reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer and General Auditor on both individual initiatives and the overall change program;
  • Provide strong organizational oversight and structure to projects to cultivate a path to success.
  • Provide meaningful input on future change initiatives and projects for the Audit Service’s function;


Operational


  • Perform business analysis to identify and conceive solutions, and draft business requirements; and
  • Structure projects to comply with the project life cycle methodology, and obtain appropriate approval(s);
  • Maintain knowledge of, and report on, project or program issues, risks and dependencies;
  • Oversee project performance to ensure timely completion, within budget;
  • Other adhoc duties (e.g., liaison with Chicago Workplace Services and Chicago Audit Services department) and business as usual reporting (e.g. capital reporting, expense reporting etc.)
  • Report and provide regular updates on the Audit Services Initiatives Program;
  • Escalate issues and update management and relevant committees as appropriate;
  • Work with other Audit Service teams to drive change and achieve the Audit Services objectives;
  • Manage the project life cycle from initiation to completion, e.g., preparing the business case, (incl. objectives, scope, budget, timing, deliverables, etc.), performance reporting, close out;
  • Development and analysis of operational performance metrics;
  • Develop forward-thinking resource plans and requirements for each initiative and the overall program;


Other


  • Provide support to the Chief Administrative Officer as required, e.g. preparing Committee/Senior Management decks, investigating issues and other ad hoc requests.
  • Share knowledge in the form of training, mentoring or coaching others;
  • Partner with different business and operational lines to ensure proper support is provided by Audit Services as the businesses expand, develop and grow. This could include, but not be limited to, the build out of new products, locations and systems;

  • Thorough understanding of project management principles in relation to people, systems and processes, to provide value quickly and enable change; and,
