Job Description
Overview


You will report to the Director/Head of Strategy & Business Operations for the QuickBooks Money Platform (comprising Payments, Capital, Banking, Risk and Money Movement). Our team focuses on helping the organization make strategic decisions and execute quickly. We do this through strategic projects (e.g., analyzing different product strategies, creating international expansion plans, or evaluating acquisition opportunities) with strong analytics and also through running business operations (e.g., ensuring an effective operational cadence, building and tracking leading indicators for steering the business, etc.).


A Successful Senior Associate Has The Following Attributes


  • Use of a healthy mix of both logic and creativity in their strategic thinking. A natural inclination to cover all the angles of a problem (i.e. not just the customers, competitors and financials, but also the partnership dynamics, the operational realities, the risk mitigation strategies, etc.)

What You'll Bring


  • Growth mindset; skilled at both strategy and tactical execution; results oriented, and outcome driven; able to balance both short- and long-term strategy
  • 4 or more years of strategy and operations experience at a top-tier management consulting firm, fintech and/or growth stage internet or software company; experience in global payments, lending, banking as a service an added plus
  • Able to work in a matrix environment; able to create effective relationships, influence, partner and collaborate internally and externally at all organizational levels
  • Solid business acumen; strong problem solving and analytical skills; data and metrics driven; able to ensure growth and revenue goals are achievable
  • Solutions-oriented, out of the box thinker, with a track record of identifying and implementing creative solutions and operating at scale
  • Customer obsessed; excels at synthesizing insights about what matters most to customers and accelerating velocity to deliver incredible customer benefit/experiences
  • Undergraduate degree required in a technical, math or science discipline; MBA or advanced degree preferred (equivalent professional experience will be considered)


How You Will Lead


  • Work in close collaboration with the Money leadership team to deliver the annual plan; identify and prioritize in year growth opportunities and risks
  • Partner with the Director and the QuickBooks Money Platform team to define a 3- and 1-year strategy to deliver industry leading growth and breakthrough customer benefit
  • Contribute to day-to-day business operations of the organization, including annual and quarterly goal setting, and tracking, etc.
  • Work on a variety of key strategic initiatives and projects on an ad hoc basis
  • Collaborate on the strategy and execution plan to ensure we are operating as an agile and high performing organization in combination with the QuickBooks Money Platform leader and the team’s HR Business Partners
  • Strategically evaluate new market opportunities; work with cross-functional partners to surface opportunities and threats, outline data-driven strategic decisions, and frame actionable product recommendations; partner with cross-functional leaders to successfully implement recommendations and be jointly accountable for outcomes
  • Play a key role in driving inorganic and partnership strategy as an input to 3-year strategy.
