In December 2021, Epic closed a round of financing from The Chernin Group (TCG). In November 2022, Epic Gardening completed the acquisition of Botanical Interests, a vegetable, herb, and flower packet seed company founded in 1995 and based in Broomfield, CO. The acquisition dramatically expands Epic's product offering and go-to-market channels with the addition of 800+ SKUs and a nationwide wholesale distribution channel.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Sr. Manager, eCommerce is responsible for managing the day to day DTC eCommerce business, delivering a premier online shopping experience for our customers and setting a strategic direction that allows us to hit aggressive revenue growth targets. The right candidate has a track record of working with eCommerce operations and has extensive knowledge of digital site experience best practices to build a premier online shopping experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with Performance Marketing teams to optimize the flow
  • Work in partnership with Marketing counterparts to plan and execute promotional calendar including Lifecycle Marketing and Organic Social
  • Partner with Customer Service team to understand and address customer pain points
  • Own the Epic Gardening Shop experience and direction; managing product listings, promotions and researching levers to drive growth.
  • Optimize the Epic Gardening Social Stores (Facebook/Instagram) to drive incremental revenue
  • Leverage our digital reporting suite to understand business trends and report on health of the business
  • Work in partnership with Engineering/Product teams to identify and execute on site enhancements and redesigns needed to drive incremental conversion and improved customer experience
  • Manage our existing Shopify App plug-ins while researching additional tech solutions to better our online performance

Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of UX/UI best practices and metrics
  • Experience working with both technical and business counterparts to deliver on a shared vision
  • Ability to leverage data sets to make informed business decisions
  • 6+ years working in e-commerce businesses with strong digital acumen
  • Experience working in a scaled organization; startup experience preferred
  • Experience working directly in the Shopify platform and related app ecosystem
  • Excellent ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
