Job Description
The Edwards Lifesciences’ Corporate Development group is seeking a candidate to support the execution of a broad range of strategic transactions including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, license agreements, partnerships, and minority investments. A successful candidate will be a key contributor in the assessment, evaluation, and completion of potential transactions, including:
  • Maintaining Edwards Corporate Development pipeline
  • Preparing and analyzing alternative deal structuring options
  • Assisting with due diligence including the collection and dissemination of diligence materials
  • Preparing monthly briefing materials for executive management and the Board of Directors
  • Developing complex valuation models and preparing valuation analyses of potential acquisition targets, incorporating DCF analysis, comparable transactions, and other valuation methods
  • Coordinating the preparation of definitive agreement schedules
  • Performing detailed financial analyses of therapy opportunities
  • Active partnership with inside and outside legal teams
Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience including experience in corporate development, investment banking, venture capital, private equity, corporate finance or other related role; or 8 years of relevant experience with an MBA
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proven ability to interact with executive management and work with a variety of stakeholders
  • Strong financial modeling skills and oral/written communication skills
  • MBA preferred
  • Critical thinker with the ability to operate in a dynamic, uncertain environment
  • Previous medical technology experience
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities with limited direction

For California, the base pay range for this position is $128,000 to $181,000 (highly experienced).
The pay for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience).
