The Sr. Field Sales Specialist is responsible for sales execution and for leading and achieving business plans and performance objectives within assigned markets across multiple geographies. This position is responsible for the implementation and execution of strategic sales initiatives to increase business opportunities and generate revenue from key accounts and collaborating with distributors to deliver the annual plan. Manage Inventory, Pricing and Programming to TFE market standards.
Focus on our Customers and Distributors:
Promote, sell, and build relationships with customers and distributors throughout their respective region to execute company goals and objectives. The Sr. Field Sales Specialist role is to be focused on Sales Execution in assigned area and partnering with distributor(s). Approximately 35% spent executing in assigned market(s), 40% partnering with distributor(s) and 25% planning & administration. These activities will vary based on business cycles for planning and seasonality of markets.
Essential Functions:

- Communicate, monitor, and ensure compliance on NRD and NAOP programs. Update distributors monthly on execution performance.
- Responsible for utilizing sales tools (Power BI, KARMA, VIP, Nielsen, Other) effectively to grow existing business, identify new opportunities and track key initiatives.
- Influence and engage distributor partners, and broker relationships through the establishment of quarterly, and annual sales goals and objectives for case volume, distribution, and revenues.
- Conduct trade tastings and wine dinners targeting our key trade partners and customer fan base.
- Conduct monthly and quarterly distributor planning meetings, review business, develop brand plans, and lay out market activities 90-120 days in advance. Directly monitor and ensure the achievement of performance goals and objectives.
- Analyze market conditions and provide strategic insights on the competitive and category landscape to leadership. Identifies and shares with management opportunities to drive sales, such as pricing or programming vs. competitors.
- Effectively target POS usage and merchandising material in the right accounts. Communicate allocations to distributors in a timely manner.
- Execute sales plans and unique marketing solutions with customers in markets necessary to achieve winery brand growth and financial objectives.
- Works with distributor field sales personnel (i.e., Reps, DMs, AMs) in accounts to train and motivate and help execute monthly programs, brand standards, identify distribution gaps and deliver points of distribution in all channels.
- Manage and Execute Distributor Inventory, Pricing, and Programming in all assigned markets to meet TFE Standards.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- Work closely with and develop relationships with regional chains. Plan monthly or quarterly presentations and reviews in coordination with TFE NRD Team.
- Participate in community events and activities while representing the winery in a manner consistent with our values and goals.
- Collaborate across all departments and champions the Trinchero Family Estates "One Team" approach.
- Controls and monitors business expenses (meals, transportation, lodging, etc.).
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Sales and Marketing, or related field.
- Highly organized and committed to continuous improvement in this area.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Experience: Significant sales execution management experience with increasing levels of responsibility for strategy and program development.
- Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office Suite and software applications related to job functions.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication, presentation, negotiation, and conflict management skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and successful track record of achieving results.
- Knowledge of state and federal liquor laws required.
- Strong business acumen: know the industry, competition, and trends affecting the business.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to lift at least 45 pounds (case of wine)
- Regular working schedule to include evenings and weekends
- Long and irregular hours during peak seasons and/or special events
- Frequent travel, both by car, air or train
- Moderate to heavy physical work
Salary Range: $67,500.00 - $125,000.00
The starting pay will be based on several factors, including but not limited to experience, training, education, and geographic location.
