The Solution Engineer is a versatile and important role that bridges the gap between customers and our engineers to deliver functional full-stack photonic solutions.
What You’ll Do At Lightelligence
Support customers:
  • Develop demo systems for presentations
  • Deploying customer or SOTA workloads on our opto-electric devices and simulators
  • Investigate customer pain points and propose solutions integrating our cutting-edge technologies
Support research efforts:
  • Validate, iterate, and optimize existing algorithms
  • Explore, design, and prototype new algorithms for opto-electric technologies
Work with our engineering team:
  • Assist hardware engineers with co-designing next generation photonic systems
Requirements
Basic Qualifications: 
  • Strong programming skills in Python or C++
  • BS, MS, or higher degree, in CS/CE/EE, or equivalent industry experience
  • Passionate about opto-electric technology and its impact on the world
  • Ability to communicate clearly with customers and internal engineers from diverse backgrounds
  • Excellent mathematical reasoning skills, especially with probability theory and graph theory
  • Ability to understand algorithms for a wide range of end user applications
  • Familiarity with machine learning such as CV, NLP, recommendation, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in deploying CV and/or NLP algorithms into real world environments
  • Experience with heterogenous computing like CUDA
  • Ability to work from our downtown Boston office 5 days a week
