Job Description
DirecTV LLC is seeking a Software Engineer II in El Segundo, CA (& various unanticipated locations throughout the US; may work from home) to design ETLs to deploy large data sets on our cloud centric platform used to power our analytics. Work with large data sets to develop a BI platform with reports, visualization, data feeds in this case for Media & Advertising landscape. Use outputs and data sets for campaign planning and post-campaign reporting, which include campaign data, audience data and impression data across multiple data sources. Design and develop ETL code. Develop scripts or workflows to facilitate complex ingress processes. Participate in design and code reviews. Document implemented ETL designs. Develop automated test scripts. Participate in Scrum calls as well as sprint planning sessions to support development efforts. Review, streamline and suggest improvements to our current processes and documentation. Provide subject matter expert support for DTV addressable business line, supporting the CCP (Centralize Customer Profile) database on Teradata and Snowflake, data ingestion, analysis and reporting. Provide subject matter expert support for Analytical Data Hub database on Snowflake. Provide high-level data quality review and make suggestion to improve data accuracy, completeness and usability of the data and table structures. Utilize Jira to estimate and track user stories and tasks. Utilize Teradata, Informatica, and Agile development. Work with Cloud based data warehouses, Databases and Datawarehouse tools. Utilize SQ: skills including query optimization and stored procedures. Utilize Python, Kubernetes, AWS, S3, EC2, Snowflake and Airflow. Utilize Cognos, MicroStrategy and Looker.REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Electronics Engineering and 2 years of experience in the job offered or 2 years of experience in a related occupation utilizing Jira to estimate and track user stories and tasks; utilizing Teradata, Informatica, and Agile development; working with cloud based data warehouses, Databases and Datawarehouse tools; utilizing SQL skills including query optimization and stored procedures; utilizing Python, Kubernetes, AWS, S3, EC2, Snowflake and Airflow; and utilizing Cognos, MicroStrategy and Looker.Our Software Engineer II’s earn between $169,051 to $192,050 yearly.
