About the Role

While Confluent’s goal is to build advanced and reliable real-time data pipeline management

platform for companies, internally we need our own developer platform to make this possible.

The Service Foundations team is leading the effort to build a unified application developer

platform for Confluent engineers to quickly build, ship, experiment, and iterate on products,

features, and services. You will gain broad exposure to a modern tech stack (go, java, docker,

helm, kubernetes, AWS/GCP/Azure, DBs, CI/CD, testing practices) with the goal of deeply

understanding it and building abstractions to streamline the developer workflow and

development experience across 50+ engineering teams.

What You Will Bring

• Strong fundamentals in systems design and distributed systems
• Curiosity to learn and analyze real world usage of enterprise products
• BS, MS, or Ph.D. in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• Eagerness for both technical challenges and working with people to ensure we’re building the right solutions
• Driven and excited about the challenges of a fast-paced, innovative software startup environment

What Gives You an Edge:

• Experience with Python, Go, and/or Java
• Familiarity with Docker, Helm, Kubernetes, AWS/GCP/Azure cloud environments, etc
• Previous experience with developer platforms (heroku, cloudfoundry, humanitec, etc.)

At Confluent, we are committed to providing competitive pay and benefits that are in line with industry standards. We analyze and carefully consider several factors when determining compensation, including work history, education, professional experience, and location. This position has an annual estimated salary of Bachelors $125,000 / Masters $135,000, an annual bonus, and a competitive equity package. The actual pay may vary depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Confluent offers a wide range of employee benefits. .
