The Opportunity


The Software Engineer will engage in code development regarding quantitative financial models and all peripheral applications and tools supporting those models. The individual will actively participate in all aspects of development, testing, code review, and support of these tools and must be proficient in Python, C# or C++, SQL, and Linux.


The Work Itself


  • Learning and using markup languages like LaTeX
  • Learning and applying math disciplines like statistics.
  • Developing and supporting Web APIs.
  • Planning and conducting source code reviews
  • Supporting changes to existing code base in all the repositories
  • Using the DevOps tools for code promotion process


The Skills You Bring


  • Experience with Linux operating systems
  • Excellent team player with the ability to influence and negotiate.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Preference for experience in Optimization, Statistics, Quantitative Finance
  • Experience with Hadoop and Spark is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail a must.
  • Preference for experience in DevOps tools and IDEs like Visual Studio, etc.
  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering
  • 3-5 years of programming experience, (preferably in the financial services industry)
  • Proficiency in C# or C++, Python, and SQL is required
  • Effective in delivering solutions in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated and open to learning new skills.
