About the Role: We are looking for a talented and experienced Java software engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Java programming, event sourcing, microservices, and Kafka. They will also be able to work effectively in a team environment and deliver high-quality code on schedule.

Job Title: Software Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with various runtimes and application servers, such as Spring Boot, Docker, and Tomcat, to ensure seamless application deployment.
• Architect and develop applications following the principles of "Event Sourcing" to capture and store events as the primary source of truth.
• Implement shell scripting languages such as Python to enhance application functionalities when required.
• Collaborate with teams to optimize database performance and provide expertise in MongoDB. Familiarity with AWS DocumentDB, DynamoDB, or Redis Cache is a plus.
• Utilize your expertise in Java programming to deliver high-quality, efficient, and scalable code.
• If applicable, work with Rules Engines like Drools or Rulebook to implement complex business rules effectively.
• Create and maintain user interfaces using Angular, providing users with intuitive and responsive experiences.
• Utilize Hadoop for analytics to derive valuable insights from large datasets.
• Design, build, and deploy Microservices that cater to specific business functions and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Leverage Kafka for messaging and to achieve rapid short-term recovery, horizontal scalability, and workload distribution.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Docker, or Tomcat is preferred.
• Experience with shell scripting languages, particularly Python, is a nice-to-have.
• Proficiency in working with Kafka, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
• Understanding of Hadoop for analytics purposes is a bonus.
• Proven ability to work in Agile development environments and deliver high-quality code on schedule.
• Strong proficiency in Java programming language is a must.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in developing user interfaces using Angular is advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• In-depth knowledge of MongoDB is essential, and familiarity with AWS DocumentDB, DynamoDB, or Redis Cache is a plus.

Location: Tampa, Florida

Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $100k - $110k annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is eligible for commissions in accordance with the terms of the Company’s plan. Commissions for this position are estimated to be based on individual performance. Additionally, this role is also eligible for bonus based on achievement of mutually agreed KRAs.
