The Clinical Information Services team would like to meet you!
IDEXX is seeking a Software Architect to architect, design and manage data pipelines and integrations, machine learning and rules-based classification and applications in support of high impact clinical insights initiatives. You will join a team of talented software and data engineers, collaborating with data scientists, driving innovation in veterinary care. In this role:
You will be a leading member of a highly effective Agile team delivering industry leading capabilities, participating in business planning and technical strategy
You will define and guide architecture and implementation strategies
Innovate in technology and development practices
Our team practices Scrum development, and interacts with other Agile development frameworks, so experience and desire to work in Agile teams is a must!
You will work with a close-knit team of Developers, Data QA Engineers, DevOPS, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters - excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills are important for team success
You will provide guidance, feedback and oversight to implementation/integration efforts
You will drive the latest software and data engineering best practices and innovations
What you need to succeed:
Proficiency with one or more major cloud providers (e.g., AWS)
Proficiency managing and maintaining all stages of the application stack lifecycle
Proficiency with Git and Java
Proficiency building and deploying web applications and APIs
Proficiency with big data platforms such as Hadoop and Spark, and with SQL and NoSQL databases
Proficiency with Docker/containers and Kubernetes
Proficiency with building continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) systems, and with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform)
Experience with cloud object storage (e.g., S3), and with rules engines (e.g., Drools)
Experience with data warehouse, data lake, and data lakehouse architectures (Databricks)
Experience with domain-driven design (DDD) a plus
