Purpose


We are seeking an Enterprise Architect to join our team and drive alignment between our business and IT partners, ensuring Liberty has the technology systems required to meet its business objectives.


In this role you will be responsible for working with business leaders and IT teams to develop technology roadmaps which meet business goals, leveraging our existing technology and new innovations. This will include evaluating business objectives, pain points and requirements to identify opportunities to improve processes, existing technology, and new technology.


You will continue to develop and maintain our business capability model, using it to drive value and communication between business teams and between business and IT.


You will collaborate closely with diverse business and IT teams to develop strategies and roadmaps for how technology will enable Liberty’s future business.

Accountabilities


  • Review Designs to ensure they align with Architectures and follow enterprise standards.
  • Build and maintain architecture artifacts representing the target state landscape for specific business domains, across business and technology.
  • Participate in Architecture governance – present and provide review at Architecture review board and project scoping meetings
  • Develop close working relationships with Line of Business and understanding of business challenges and opportunities
  • Gather and document business and technology requirements related to specific business domains.
  • Manage 1-5 Enterprise/business architects.
  • Review business application selections / participate in application selection and drive towards capability and roadmap-based application selection
  • Build and maintain Technology roadmaps for specific business domains
  • Work with technology SMEs, industry partners and business leads to Create Architectures/Designs which meet business requirements and strategies, and follow enterprise standards, as requested by Business/IT projects (Solution Architecture)
  • Identify innovation opportunities where technology can add business value to specific business domains.
  • Manage application inventory and utilize BCM and application inventory to drive application rationalization
  • Build and maintain architecture artifacts representing the current state landscape for specific business domains, across business and technology.
  • Maintain Business Capability Model for capabilities of the enterprise and the technology used to fulfill them

Education and Experience


  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong background in Utility systems such as SAP, Kubra, SEW, ESRI GIS
  • University - Bachelor degree or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience of developing roadmaps, developing standards, and architecture governance.
  • Experience working in the utility sector and with utility applications strongly preferred
  • Strategic thinking and business communication – ability to decompose and communicate complex topics with non-technical audiences
  • Strong background in Utility Business across utility customer operations, filed/engineering operations, and back office.
  • Team leadership – ability to take role of strategic advisor, guide, mentor, or manager of a team depending on circumstances.
  • Experience with team management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve problems and issues in a collaborative environment
  • Ability to drive progress from poorly defined problem to create consensus on requirements and best solution to meet those requirements.
  • Experience with enterprise architecture tools and techniques
  • Expert knowledge of The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) or equivalent framework, certifications preferred.

Compensation Data


California - $115,359 - $189,521


New York - $104,373 - $181,278
